If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: Just checked my account and my claim was approved! Employer must have either not responded or didn't contest. First payment should come this week. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance!

Wait, this isn't my update - this is someone else's story. I'm still waiting on mine! But glad it worked out for this person.

Oops sorry, I meant to start a new thread! But hopefully yours comes through soon too.

The system is slow but it generally works. If you're really concerned about timeline, document everything and be prepared to appeal if necessary. Most claims do get approved eventually.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I feel much better about the process now. I'll keep filing weekly and hope for the best.

Good luck! And remember if you need to actually talk to someone at ESD, Claimyr is there as an option to cut through the phone queue nightmare.

Last tip - keep detailed records of everything once you start the process. Job search activities, any communication with Washington ESD, work you do while claiming benefits. It'll save you headaches if questions come up later.

0 coins

Good advice. I'll make sure to document everything if I end up applying.

The main thing is just to be patient with the process. It's bureaucratic and slow but if you qualify it's money you're entitled to. Don't let the complexity discourage you from applying.

Thanks again everyone. This thread has been super helpful in understanding what I need to do.

Final thought on this - if you do need to reach Washington ESD for any employer-related questions about your state unemployment account, definitely try Claimyr. The phone system there is just as impossible for employers as it is for claimants, so having a way to actually get through is invaluable.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll bookmark that for future Washington ESD questions.

This whole thread should be required reading for new business owners. The federal/state split is so confusing when you're starting out.

Agreed! I wish I had found this information earlier. Everyone has been really helpful.

Feel free to come back here if you have more questions when/if you need to file. Lots of experienced people here who've been through the process.

Will do. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to explain everything so clearly.

manufacturing sector has been tough lately but unemployment benefits definitely help during transitions. you'll get through it if it happens

Yeah, the whole industry seems uncertain right now. Thanks for the encouragement.

Just to wrap up the benefit calculation discussion - remember that your weekly benefit amount is set when your claim is established and won't change during your benefit year, even if you get a part-time job or your circumstances change. The only thing that changes is whether you're eligible for the full amount each week based on your weekly claim answers.

0 coins

That's a really important point. So I don't have to worry about them recalculating my benefits if I do some freelance work?

0 coins

Exactly. Your weekly benefit amount stays the same, but you might get a reduced payment or no payment for weeks when you earn too much. The base amount doesn't change though.

One last thing - if you're worried about making ends meet while waiting for your first payment, look into local food banks and emergency assistance programs. Many cities have resources specifically for people who are between jobs. No shame in getting help when you need it.

0 coins

That's really thoughtful advice. I'm hoping I won't need it but it's good to know those resources exist.

211 is a great resource too - just dial 2-1-1 and they can connect you with local assistance programs
