If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One last thing - if you're getting any other benefits like food stamps or medical assistance, make sure your unemployment income doesn't affect those programs. I had to report my UI benefits to other agencies too.

Good point. DSHS needed to know about my unemployment benefits for my medical coverage.

Update for anyone still reading - I ended up using Claimyr one more time this month when I needed clarification about how to report some consulting work. The agent I spoke with was really helpful and explained exactly how to handle irregular income on the weekly claims. Definitely recommend if you're stuck and can't get through on your own.

Thank you for all your help everyone! I feel much more confident about the weekly certification process now.

Has anyone used that Claimyr service that was mentioned? I'm not starting a job yet but I've been trying to get through to Washington ESD about my adjudication status for weeks with no luck.

0 coins

Yeah I used it - worked really well for me. Check out their demo video to see how it works.

I was skeptical at first but it actually helped me reach an agent when I couldn't get through on my own. Worth looking into if you're stuck.

Bottom line - keep filing your weekly claims and report your work honestly. That's the safest approach. Washington ESD makes it pretty clear what you need to do on the weekly claim form.

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I feel much more confident about handling this correctly now.

No problem! It's always stressful when you're not sure about the process, but you're doing the right thing by asking.

I've used Claimyr twice now when I needed to talk to Washington ESD about different issues. First time was about my benefit amount calculation, second time was about a job search requirement question. Both times it was so much easier than trying to get through on my own.

0 coins

That's really helpful to know. I might need to use that if I run into problems.

Okay you've convinced me to at least check it out. The regular phone system is just too frustrating.

Bottom line: file your claim with Washington ESD online, file your weekly claims every week, and let Washington ESD handle all the payments. Your former employer is out of the picture once you're laid off, except for any separation information they provide to Washington ESD.

Perfect summary! That makes everything so much clearer. Thanks everyone for all the help.

Just wanted to add that if you're getting severance pay, that might affect when your unemployment benefits start. Washington ESD considers severance as wages so there could be a delay. Something to keep in mind when planning your finances.

0 coins

It usually just delays when your benefits start, not the whole claim. But you should definitely mention it when you file so they can calculate everything correctly.

0 coins

This is exactly the kind of situation where calling Washington ESD directly helps. If you use something like Claimyr to get through, they can explain how your severance affects your claim timeline.

0 coins

The whole system is pretty straightforward once you get started. Just make sure you do your weekly claims every week even if you're still in the waiting period or dealing with severance issues. Missing weekly claims can mess up your whole claim.

Got it - consistency is key. Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! This thread has been super informative.

One last thing - keep all your termination paperwork safe. If your employer gave you any written reason for the firing, that will be important evidence. Also check if you're eligible for any final paycheck or vacation payout.

They didn't give me anything in writing, just told me verbally it was performance issues. Should I ask for something in writing?

0 coins

You can try, but they're not required to provide it. Just document what they told you verbally as best you can remember.

Update us when you hear back from Washington ESD! I'm rooting for you and hope they approve your claim quickly. You deserve benefits after what you went through.

0 coins

I will definitely update everyone. Thank you all for the advice and support - it really helps to know I'm not alone in this.

We've all been there in some way. The unemployment system is tough to navigate but you've got this!
