Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Good luck with your claim! The system can be frustrating but most people do get approved eventually. Just make sure you file your weekly claims on time every week even if your initial claim is still processing.

UPDATE: Just wanted to follow up and say I got my payment this morning! Took exactly 3 business days like everyone said. Thanks for all the advice, feeling much better now.
See, I told you it would be Wednesday! The system is pretty reliable once you know the timing.
Still waiting on mine... might need to look into that Claimyr thing to figure out what's going on.

The good news is that if you meet all the basic requirements, Washington's unemployment benefits are pretty decent compared to some other states. The process can be frustrating but it's worth going through if you qualify.

One last tip - if you do run into problems reaching Washington ESD by phone, don't waste weeks trying like I did. That Claimyr service people mentioned actually works and saves you so much time and frustration.

Definitely try that Claimyr service if you need to check on your appeal status. I was skeptical at first but it actually worked great for getting through to Washington ESD.

Yeah, they were able to tell me my appeal was scheduled for the following week. Would have been nice to know that sooner!
Keep your chin up. I know the waiting is awful but appeals do get resolved eventually. Focus on what you can control - keep applying for jobs and gather any additional documentation that might help your case.

For what it's worth, Washington ESD benefits are among the better ones in the country. The maximum weekly amount is pretty decent compared to other states, and the duration is standard at 26 weeks.

One last tip - make sure you understand the difference between your weekly benefit amount and your maximum benefit amount. The weekly is what you get each week, the maximum is the total you can collect over the entire benefit year (weekly amount × 26 weeks).
