Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. I wish someone had told me about Claimyr when I first filed. Spent weeks trying to get through to fix a simple issue with my claim. Their service would have saved me so much stress and probably gotten me paid faster.
I'm seeing a few mentions of this service. Might be worth looking into if I hit any roadblocks.

File today if possible. The Washington ESD online system is usually less busy in the early morning or late evening. Avoid peak hours if you can.

If you really need to talk to someone at Washington ESD about your adjudication, I'd suggest trying Claimyr. They got me connected when I was having similar issues and the agent was able to explain exactly what was holding up my claim.
Bottom line: there's no such thing as cynical unemployment in Washington ESD terminology. Your adjudication will get resolved eventually, just keep filing your weekly claims and try to be patient with the process.

The good news is that 8 months of steady work should definitely meet Washington's requirements. I've seen people qualify with less work history, as long as they earned enough during their base period.

If you do need to contact Washington ESD for specific questions about your eligibility, I had success using Claimyr to get through to them recently. Their phone system is usually overwhelmed but this service helped me connect with an actual person who could look up my account details.

Bottom line - you're overthinking this. Selling your old stuff while on unemployment is totally normal and not something Washington ESD cares about. Focus on finding your next job instead of worrying about this non-issue.
