Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

The customer service line is 800-318-6022 but like others said, it's really hard to get through. They also have online messaging but the response times are terrible.
I'll keep that number handy just in case, but sounds like I should try to handle everything online if possible.
If you do need to call, seriously consider using Claimyr. The regular phone line is basically unusable most of the time, but their service actually gets you through to talk to someone.

Filing online vs calling in - any recommendations? I remember the website being glitchy when I filed my first claim but maybe it's better now?
The website is definitely more stable than it was during the pandemic. I'd try online first, but if you run into issues or need to check on status, that's when calling (or using Claimyr) becomes necessary.

Just make sure you meet the wage requirements first. No point in filing if you don't have enough qualifying earnings.

One more tip - keep all your documentation from Washington ESD including the 1099-G form they send you. If there are any discrepancies between what you received and what they report, you'll need to contact them to get it corrected before filing your taxes.
Good advice. I had an issue last year where my 1099-G was wrong and it took forever to get Washington ESD to issue a corrected form.
Exactly why it's important to keep your own records throughout the year. Makes it much easier to spot errors on the 1099-G when you receive it.

Set up your SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account ahead of time if you haven't already. That way you're ready to file immediately when the time comes instead of dealing with account setup when you're already stressed about being unemployed.
