If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just want to add one more important detail - when you're gathering your employment information, make sure to include ALL employers from the past 18 months, even if you only worked there briefly or it was temporary work. Washington ESD uses something called your "base year" to calculate benefits, and leaving out any employment could reduce your benefit amount. Also, if you worked for multiple employers at the same time, list them all separately with their respective dates and wages. I made the mistake of combining part-time jobs on my first application and it caused delays.

This is really helpful information! I didn't realize I needed to include ALL employers from 18 months. I had a couple short temp jobs that I wasn't sure about including. Better to include everything than miss out on benefits I'm entitled to. Thanks for sharing your experience with the base year calculation - that could have been a costly mistake to make.

Hey Miguel! I just went through this process a few months ago when I got laid off from my warehouse job. The stress is totally understandable - I was panicking about rent too. Here's what worked for me: Start by going to esd.wa.gov and create your SecureAccess Washington account first. Have your Social Security card, driver's license, and bank info ready. For employment history, write down every job from the last 18 months with exact dates and wages - even short temp jobs count toward your benefits! The application took me about 45 minutes, and I got my monetary determination in about 10 days. Don't worry if you don't have every pay stub - they can verify most wages through their system. The key is to apply ASAP since benefits start from when you file, not when you lost your job. You've got this!

This is exactly the kind of detailed walkthrough I needed! I'm feeling so much better about tackling this now. The tip about starting benefits from when you file rather than when you lose your job is crucial - I had no idea about that timing. I'm going to gather all my documents today and apply this weekend. Really appreciate you taking the time to break it down step by step, especially coming from someone who just went through it recently. It helps to know the 10-day timeline for the monetary determination too so I know what to expect.

ESD Fraud claim from 2020 blocking my benefits - every week disqualified

I'm dealing with a nightmare situation with ESD that's been going on since January. When I first tried to file for unemployment after my tech company downsized, I couldn't even log into the ESD portal. After calling ESD (took 3 days to get through), they informed me someone had filed a fraudulent claim under my name back in 2020 when I was fully employed at my previous job. They transferred me to the fraud department who had me upload my ID documents (driver's license, SS card, birth certificate) to verify my identity. After all that, I was able to reset my password and access my account. The problem is I've been filing my weekly claims since mid-January, but EVERY SINGLE WEEK shows as 'disqualified' with no explanation. I'm now 9 weeks into this mess with zero benefits paid. I contacted the Governor's office about 3 weeks ago and they said they'd escalate my case. I followed up with them today and they connected me with a caseworker (left them a voicemail). Out of desperation, I called ESD again today and miraculously got through to a rep who told me my current claim is completely held up because of this fraudulent claim from 2020 that's still in their system. She transferred me to the fraud department again who said I just need to fill out a form to have the false claim removed. Has anyone else dealt with this identity theft/fraud situation with ESD? How long did it take to resolve after submitting the fraud form? I'm getting really worried as my savings are almost gone and I can't understand why they keep letting me file weekly claims if they knew this whole time it was all getting disqualified because of the 2020 situation.

Just to follow up on my earlier comment - make sure you're specifically asking to speak with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) when you call ESD about fraud issues. Regular agents often don't have the authority to address these cases properly. And for clarity - there are two separate issues you need to resolve: 1. Getting the fraudulent 2020 claim properly documented and removed 2. Having your current claim properly processed once the fraud block is removed These often require speaking with different departments, which is why it's so frustrating. The fraud documentation has to be fully processed before your current claim can move forward.

This is really helpful context. I had no idea there were two separate processes involved. I'll specifically ask for the Office of Special Investigations when I call back. The whole system is so confusing!

I'm dealing with something very similar right now! Filed in February and every week shows disqualified with no explanation. When I finally got through to someone last week, they said there's a "hold" on my account but couldn't tell me why or how to fix it. Reading through all these responses is actually really helpful - I had no idea about the Office of Special Investigations or that specific form number (ESD 8028). I'm definitely going to try calling and asking for OSI specifically. One thing I wanted to add - has anyone tried reaching out to their local WorkSource office for help navigating this? I'm wondering if they might have better connections or know shortcuts for getting through the bureaucracy. @Sadie - please keep us updated on how the form submission goes! Sounds like you're getting some solid advice here and I'm hoping your case gets resolved soon. This whole situation is so stressful when you're already dealing with job loss.

I've been struggling with this same issue for over a month now! My claim has been pending since early April and I've tried calling Washington ESD probably 50+ times with zero success. The phone system is completely broken - either busy signals or I'll wait on hold for hours just to get disconnected. It's so frustrating not knowing what's wrong with my claim or how to fix it. After reading everyone's experiences here, it's clear that Claimyr might be the only realistic way to actually get through to someone at Washington ESD. I hate that we have to pay a third-party service just to access our own benefits, but when the official system is this dysfunctional, what other choice do we have? Thanks to everyone who shared their success stories - it gives me hope that my issue might be something simple that can be resolved quickly once I can actually talk to a real person. Going to try Claimyr this week!

I'm in the exact same situation! Been trying to reach Washington ESD for weeks about my pending claim and it's like banging your head against a wall. The fact that so many of us are having the identical experience really shows this is a systemic problem, not just bad luck. I've been following this thread and seeing all the success stories with Claimyr, and honestly it's starting to seem like the only viable option. It's ridiculous that we have to pay for what should be basic access to government services, but when you're stuck in limbo for over a month like you are, sometimes you just need something that actually works. Good luck with Claimyr - hopefully your pending issue turns out to be something simple that can be fixed in minutes once you can actually talk to someone!

I'm dealing with the exact same frustrating situation! Been trying to call Washington ESD for over 3 weeks about my pending claim and it's absolutely impossible to get through. I've tried every suggestion I've seen - calling right at 8am, different times throughout the day, weekdays vs weekends - nothing works. Either immediate busy signals or I'll sit on hold for 2-3 hours just to get disconnected. My claim has been stuck on "pending" for almost a month with zero explanation of what's wrong or what I need to do to fix it. The stress of not knowing if it's a simple issue that could be resolved in minutes if I could just talk to someone is really getting to me. After reading through all these comments, it seems like Claimyr really might be the only realistic way to actually reach a real person at Washington ESD these days. I hate that we have to pay a third-party service for what should be basic access to our own government benefits, but when the official system is this broken, what other choice do we have? Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one dealing with this nightmare!

Update: I FINALLY got through to ESD this morning after trying for 4 days straight! Turns out I do have an overpayment from 2021. They said I reported my hours incorrectly for 8 weeks during the pandemic (although I'm positive I entered everything correctly). Total overpayment is $2,450 and they're taking 30% of each payment until it's paid off. They're supposed to be sending me the full documentation in the mail. At least now I know what I'm dealing with, though I'm definitely going to appeal this since I don't think I made any mistakes on my claims.

0 coins

Glad you got answers! Important note about appeals - you normally have only 30 days from the date of the original overpayment notice to file an appeal. Since you never received that notice, you should request that they reset the appeal timeline based on the date you were actually notified (today). Make this request in writing ASAP and keep documentation of it. When you receive the paperwork, check carefully for any calculations about your reported hours vs. what your employer reported - that's often where the discrepancies occur.

Thank you! That's extremely helpful advice. I'll make that written request today and will document everything carefully going forward. I appreciate everyone's help with this frustrating situation!

This is such a widespread issue right now! I'm a newcomer to this community but dealing with the exact same problem. ESD just took $380 from my benefits last week with zero explanation. I collected pandemic unemployment in 2020 when my restaurant job was eliminated, and I was so careful to report everything correctly because I was terrified of making mistakes. Now they're saying I owe money but won't tell me why or how much total. Reading through everyone's experiences here is both reassuring (I'm not alone) and terrifying (some of you owe thousands!). Going to try calling that collections number tomorrow and also look into the Claimyr service someone mentioned. Thanks for sharing your stories - it helps to know others are fighting this too.

Welcome to the community, Diego! Sorry you're dealing with this nightmare too. The $380 they took from you is really significant - I totally understand the fear of not knowing the total amount. From what I've learned here, definitely try that collections number (1-866-697-4831) that Javier mentioned, and document everything in writing about not receiving proper notice. It seems like so many of us pandemic claimants are getting hit all at once. Keep us posted on what you find out - your experience might help others who are just discovering these surprise deductions. We're all in this together!

I'm dealing with this exact same frustrating situation! My Washington ESD claim has been stuck on pending for 4 weeks now with zero explanation. I've tried calling probably 30+ times and either get busy signals immediately or sit on hold for hours before getting disconnected. It's incredibly stressful not knowing if there's an actual problem or if I'm just supposed to keep waiting indefinitely. Based on everyone's experiences here, it sounds like speaking with an agent is really the only way to find out what's actually wrong, but their phone system seems designed to prevent that from happening. I'm seriously considering trying Claimyr after reading all these positive reviews - $20 seems reasonable if it actually gets me through to someone who can tell me what's holding up my claim. The uncertainty is honestly the worst part of this whole process!

I totally feel your pain! Four weeks is way too long to be stuck in limbo like that. I went through something very similar a couple months ago - my claim was pending for 6 weeks and I was going crazy not knowing what was wrong. I must have called Washington ESD over 40 times with the same result as you - busy signals or getting cut off after hours on hold. Finally broke down and tried Claimyr after seeing all the recommendations here, and honestly it was the best decision I made. They got me connected to an agent in about 90 minutes, and it turned out my claim was flagged for identity verification that wasn't showing anywhere online. The agent walked me through exactly what documents to upload and my claim was approved within 2 days! Got all my back payments too. I know $20 feels like a lot when you're already struggling, but the peace of mind was absolutely worth it. Hang in there - you're going to get through this!

I'm in a very similar situation - my claim has been pending for 7 weeks now and I'm getting really desperate for answers. Like everyone else here, I've tried calling Washington ESD dozens of times but can never get through. What's really concerning me after reading all these comments is how many people discovered their claims were stuck due to issues that weren't visible in their online accounts at all - employer disputes, identity verification flags, wage record problems, even system glitches. It seems like the online portal just shows "pending" regardless of what's actually wrong behind the scenes. I think I'm going to try Claimyr this week based on all the positive experiences people have shared here. At this point, $20 is a small price to pay for finally getting some answers instead of continuing to waste hours every day calling with no success. The stress of not knowing what's wrong or how long this might take is honestly affecting my mental health at this point.

0 coins

Seven weeks is absolutely unacceptable - I can totally understand why you're feeling desperate for answers! You're absolutely right about the online portal being basically useless for showing what's actually wrong. I've been following this thread and it's shocking how many people discover completely different issues (employer disputes, verification problems, system glitches) that were invisible online. The fact that Washington ESD doesn't proactively communicate these issues is really problematic. Given how long you've already been waiting and the consistent positive feedback about Claimyr in this thread, I think trying them is definitely worth it at this point. The $20 cost seems minimal compared to 7 weeks of lost benefits and the ongoing stress. Several people here have mentioned getting connected within a few hours and having their issues resolved within days once they knew what was actually wrong. Don't lose hope - once you get through to an agent and find out what's holding things up, it sounds like the resolution usually happens pretty quickly!
