If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I wanted to add one more thing - make sure you keep documenting your job searches each week, even while you're trying to resolve this issue. Once an agent fixes your claim status, you'll need to back-file for any missed weeks, and they'll ask for your job search details for each of those weeks. If you don't have them, you could lose benefits for those periods. The law requires 3 job search activities per week, and you need to record: - Date of contact - Company name - Company contact information (phone or email) - Position applied for - Method of contact - Result of contact Keep this documentation even if you can't file currently.

That's super helpful advice - I hadn't thought about needing to back-file! I'll definitely keep detailed records of my job searches. I really appreciate everyone's help with this frustrating situation.

Haha, the ESD mystery box! I wish I could just wait it out, but I'm getting kind of desperate for the benefits to start coming in. My savings are running dangerously low.

That's a good tip about keeping the envelope! I probably would have thrown it away too without thinking about it.

One additional detail I forgot to mention - after you receive the ReliaCard, you'll need to create an online account with US Bank to manage it. This is separate from your ESD account. You'll be able to check your balance, set up alerts for deposits, and even transfer money from the card to your personal bank account (which many people do to avoid the ATM fees).

Oh that's really good to know. I'd much rather transfer the funds to my regular bank account than deal with a separate card and potential fees. I'll look into that once it arrives.

i had something kinda similar happen last year and the thing that helped me most was getting everything organized before my appeal hearing. i made a timeline with all the events, reports, and my termination with dates, and referenced my evidence for each point (like "see exhibit A for email to HR on 3/5"). the judge seemed to really appreciate having everything laid out clearly because these cases can get complicated and they handle so many appeals. also practice explaining your situation clearly without getting too emotional (hard i know!!) because you want to come across professional in the hearing.

The timeline idea is brilliant! I'm going to start working on that tonight. Did you send all your evidence ahead of time or bring it to the hearing? And how long did your hearing last?

they should give you instructions when they schedule your hearing, but i submitted everything electronically a week before. my hearing was supposed to be 45 mins but went almost 2 hours! make sure to block off extra time just in case. also the timeline really helped me stay focused when i was nervous and talking to the judge.

Update: I talked to the ESD claims specialist today (finally!). They said since my employer is claiming misconduct, my case is being sent to adjudication for further review. They're going to interview both me and my former employer next week. The specialist recommended I upload my documentation showing the timeline of harassment reports and the retaliation that followed. She also said that my case would be stronger if I could get statements from any former coworkers willing to confirm my version of events. Not sure if anyone will be brave enough to speak up though since they're afraid for their own jobs.

thats great progress! for witness statements, maybe reach out to anyone who already left the company? they have nothing to lose. or even just texts/convos where coworkers acknowledged what was happening, like that text you mentioned about nobody speaking up to keep their jobs - that actually helps prove your case!

That's a good idea. I know two people who quit last month who saw everything. I'll reach out to them tonight. And yes, I have those texts saved! Fingers crossed the adjudicator actually reviews everything carefully.

Just wanted to follow up to make sure you found your 1099-G. If you're still having trouble, there's one more option - you can submit a secure message through eServices specifically requesting your 1099-G. Go to your eServices account > Click on "Send a message" > Select "I need a copy of my 1099-G" from the dropdown menu. They're supposed to respond within 5-7 business days, which might still give you enough time before the tax deadline.

Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. I'll mark "No" for the days I'm out of state and explain it's for a funeral in the comments. It sounds like I'll get partial benefits for that week which is completely fair. I appreciate all the responses!

Good plan. Just remember to keep your job search logs updated for the days you are available that week. You still need to complete job search activities for the days you're available, even in a partial week.

Oh good point about the job search activities. I'll make sure to do those for the days I'm available. Thank you!
