If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The REAL question is why does ESD still have a phone system from the stone age when everything else in the world has moved online?? They've had YEARS to fix this!! And don't even get me started on their "new and improved" website that's down for maintenance every other weekend. I swear they do this on purpose to make people give up on claiming benefits.

I understand the frustration, but the phone system actually serves an important purpose for people with limited internet access, disabilities, or language barriers. The integration issues are definitely a problem though. ESD has been allocated funds to upgrade their systems, but these large government IT projects take time to implement properly.

Ok fine but its 2025! We shouldnt have government systems that cant talk to each other! My smart fridge can order groceries but ESD cant figure out if I filed a claim or not???

is there a time limit on filing weekly claims? i missed last week and wondering if i can still file or if im out of luck

@user123 - That's a completely different question from what OP was asking, but yes, you have until the end of the following week to file a weekly claim. So if you missed last week, file it ASAP before this week ends. You'll need to provide a good reason for filing late, and it might delay your payment.

One more important note: When filing your appeal, specifically request what's called a "de novo review" of your entire claim. This means the judge will look at your case from scratch, not just the availability issue. Since you already have a favorable ruling on the voluntary quit issue, this could be advantageous. Also, contact the Administrative Hearings Coordinator and request that your previous favorable decision be included in the record for your new appeal. This creates a stronger paper trail showing that part of your eligibility has already been established.

Thank you so much! I'm learning so much about how this system works. I'll definitely request the de novo review and contact the hearings coordinator about including my previous decision.

To answer your earlier question - yes, absolutely continue filing your weekly claims while appealing. If you win your appeal, they can only pay you for weeks you properly filed claims. And file your appeal online through eServices so you have immediate confirmation it was received. The clock is ticking on that 30-day deadline!

I'll keep filing my weekly claims for sure. I submitted the appeal this morning through eServices. Now I'm trying to get through to someone on the phone to understand exactly why they made this determination. Thanks again for all the help.

Quick update from my earlier comment - I should mention that if you selected the ESD debit card option instead of direct deposit, it typically takes 7-10 business days to receive your card in the mail for first-time payments. The funds will be available as soon as you activate the card though.

I definitely chose direct deposit! No way I was waiting for a card in the mail with bills due. But good info for others who might be reading this thread.

Yes! Just checked and it hit my account around 6am this morning. So about 24 hours total. Such a relief!

Quick update - after seeing a recommendation here, I tried Claimyr today for my adjudication issue with ESD and got through in about 15 mins when I'd been trying for days on my own. Just sharing in case others are struggling with the phone system too. There's a demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 that shows how it works.

UPDATE: I finally got through to ESD this morning after trying for 2 hours! The agent was actually super helpful once I got through. She backdated my claims for 11/4 and 11/11 right away, and said I should see the payments in my account by Wednesday. She also explained that the system doesn't allow online backdating until you've established a "regular filing pattern" - whatever that means. For anyone else with this issue - definitely call, have your job search activities ready (they DO need all 3 for each week), and be prepared to wait on hold. Thanks everyone for your help!

Glad you got it resolved! And yes, a "regular filing pattern" typically means filing 3-4 consecutive weeks on time. After that, the system gives you more flexibility for missed weeks (though still capped at 4 weeks). Hope your payments arrive on schedule!

Let me clarify this situation as someone who works with these systems regularly. The PDF job search log form from ESD was created before they fully transitioned from using SSNs to claimant IDs as primary identifiers. That's why you're encountering this discrepancy. Here's what you should do: 1. Print your completed job search log with your SSN filled in the appropriate field 2. Write your claimant ID at the top of each page 3. Bring a copy of your ESD dashboard or any ESD correspondence showing your claimant ID to verify it matches what you've written WorkSource staff are well aware of this issue and will not disqualify your job search activities because of this technical limitation. The most important aspect is accurately documenting your qualifying job search activities for each week (minimum 3 per week).

i think this is overkill tbh... i never even put my ssn or claimant id on my logs and nobody said anything. as long as you have your name and the job details they dont care about the rest lol

UPDATE: Just got back from my WorkSource appointment and wanted to share what happened for anyone with the same question in the future. The WorkSource specialist said it was completely fine to have my SSN on the form instead of claimant ID! She said they see this all the time and it's not an issue. I had handwritten my claimant ID at the top of each page just to be safe (based on advice here), and she said that was perfect. So don't stress about this issue like I did! They're totally used to it.

Thanks for coming back to update us! I love when people actually follow up instead of just disappearing after getting help. Glad it worked out!
