sometimes they just leave u hanging with no updates be sure u check ur spam folder too!! my approval email went to spam and i almost missed it
Just wanted to say I'm in the same boat, week 4 of waiting after being laid off from Amazon. This thread is giving me anxiety but also some hope. Let us know what happens with your claim!
I had almost the exact same situation last year! My previous employer was contacted for wage verification after I'd been in adjudication for about 6 weeks. Once they responded, my claim was approved just 8 days later. I think you're very close to getting a determination. One thing that might help speed things up is to make sure your job search activities are being entered correctly each week. I've heard that claims with perfect job search logs get prioritized because they're easier to process. Not sure if that's true, but it can't hurt!
That's really encouraging to hear! I've been super careful with my job search logs - documenting all 3 activities each week with full contact details and notes about each application. If that helps prioritize my claim, even better! Really hoping I'm in that 8-day window now that verification is complete.
You know what's CRAZY about this whole system?? They make US wait weeks or MONTHS for a decision while they take their sweet time, but if we miss ONE weekly claim filing or are ONE DAY late with submitting job search proof, they immediately disqualify us! The double standard is infuriating. Why doesn't anyone hold ESD accountable for their processing times?? Anyway, sorry for the rant. Hope your claim gets processed soon. At least there's movement happening.
One other thing to check - make sure your payment method is still set correctly in your account. Sometimes after the initial approval, the system resets payment preferences or there's a verification issue with direct deposit that isn't clearly indicated. If you're set up for direct deposit, consider temporarily switching to the debit card option to see if that resolves the issue. I've seen cases where this mysterious processing delay was related to payment method verification.
UPDATE: Finally got through to ESD this morning! The agent confirmed my weekly claims were stuck in an automated review queue because of a "system flag" that wasn't visible on my account. Apparently, there was some question about my job separation reason that had already been resolved during adjudication, but it somehow got flagged again for the subsequent weeks. She manually reviewed and processed both weeks right there on the phone. The payments should hit my account within 48 hours! She also made a note on my account to prevent this from happening with future weekly claims. For anyone else dealing with this issue - definitely call ESD directly and ask specifically about "hidden system flags" or "automated review queues" that might be holding up your payments. Don't just accept the generic "it's still processing" answer. Thanks everyone for your help!
my cousin works at worksorce and she said they had a big system crash on sunday night. something about a database update gone wrong. shes not in IT but thats what shes hearing from her manager

•They withhold 10% for federal taxes if you choose that option. I personally preferred having them withhold it so I didn't have a surprise tax bill. Just remember that unemployment benefits are fully taxable income.

Update: I filed my claim yesterday and made sure to select 'temporary layoff' as suggested here. I also uploaded the official unpaid leave notice from my company and explained everything clearly in the comments section. Now I'm just waiting for it to process. Thank you all for the advice - this has been incredibly helpful for navigating a stressful situation!

•Great job! Make sure you file your weekly claims on time even while waiting for the initial claim to be processed. If your claim is approved, they'll pay for those weeks retroactively, but only if you've properly filed the weekly certifications.
