If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The Claims Center number is 800-318-6022. And yeah, the Spanish option worked twice for me! Just be polite about it since they're trying to help Spanish speakers, but most agents are bilingual and can easily switch to English.

You're a lifesaver! I'll pass this info along right away. He's going to try all these options tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed something works!

That's amazing! I just texted my friend to let him know. He's going to try it tomorrow morning. So glad you got through finally!

have u checked ur claim status online? sometimes they need more info but dont actually tell u

0 coins

Yeah, I check every single day (probably too often honestly). It just shows "Adjudication In Progress" with that pending issue labeled "Employment Separation" but nothing about missing documents or information.

oh that sucks, mine had a little alert that said they needed paystubs but never emailed me about it lol. esd is such a mess

UPDATE: I finally got through to ESD! First, thank you all for your suggestions. I ended up using Claimyr this morning and got connected to a real person in about 30 minutes. Turns out my former employer never responded to ESD's verification request (despite telling me they had). The agent was able to mark it as "employer non-responsive" and said my claim should be processed within 72 hours. She also put a note about hardship due to the mortgage situation. I'll update again when I know more, but wanted to share what worked for me. Also already contacted my state rep's office as backup.

This is excellent news! The "employer non-responsive" status typically allows ESD to proceed with processing based on claimant information after a reasonable time has passed. The 72-hour timeframe is realistic in these situations. Make sure you keep checking your eServices account for any updates or correspondence, and continue filing your weekly claims as normal.

CONGRATS on getting through!!! This is exactly what happened to me - employer ignored ESD's requests even though they PROMISED they'd respond quickly. The whole system is stacked against us. Fingers crossed you get paid soon!

has anyone else noticed that esd's system always seems to flag claims randomly for adjudication??? like i've filed for unemployment 3 times in 6 years and EVERY SINGLE TIME i get stuck in adjudication for weeks with no explanation. like why even have the system if every claim gets flagged anyway???

0 coins

It's not random, but their flagging system is very sensitive. Things that commonly trigger adjudication include: employment gaps, earnings inconsistencies, employer protests, multiple employers in your base year, job separation reasons other than layoff, availability limitations, and identity verification needs. The system is designed to catch potential issues, but it does create a lot of false flags.

Update: I used the hardship expedition request that someone suggested below and actually got through to a person! They confirmed my claim is still waiting for an adjudicator but because I have a late notice for utilities, they've marked my claim for expedition. They said it could still take 1-2 weeks but that's better than continuing to wait indefinitely. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and support. I'll post again when I hear anything more.

That's great news! The hardship expedition doesn't always work but when it does, it can cut the wait time significantly. Keep us posted on how it goes.

wat bout ur work search requirements??? u gotta do those even while waiting for approval!!!

0 coins

This is correct - you need to start your job search activities right away, even while your initial claim is being processed. You'll need to report 3 job search activities each week when you file your weekly claim.

Another thing - check your spam folder EVERYDAY! I missed an important ESD email asking for additional documents and it delayed my claim by 3 weeks. Their emails sometimes get filtered out by Gmail and Outlook.

Great point! I just checked and added esd.wa.gov to my safe senders list. Thanks for the tip.

ESD denied me after quitting during layoff process - toxic workplace defense?

Anyone successfully get UI benefits after quitting during a scheduled layoff? My situation is complicated and I'm freaking out about my adjudication. My employer announced back in January they're relocating out of state by June 2025 and I'd be laid off then. I started job hunting but during the transition they basically made my job IMPOSSIBLE to do - withholding information, changing procedures daily, blocking access to necessary systems. Last month I couldn't take it anymore and gave notice, even though I was already scheduled for layoff. The day after giving notice, both managers completely stonewalled me - wouldn't speak to me, answer emails, or provide work direction. The hostility was unbearable so I emailed that night saying I wouldn't return and explained why. Filed for UI immediately and got stuck in adjudication. I've submitted ALL documentation - the original layoff notice, emails showing work obstruction, texts about the hostile environment, everything! Called yesterday and got my claim expedited through the governor's office, expecting adjudicator to call tomorrow. I'm terrified they'll just see "quit" and deny me automatically without considering I was being laid off anyway AND the toxic environment. Has anyone quit during a pending layoff and still received benefits? What documentation convinced them? I've NEVER quit a job before and wouldn't have if they hadn't made it completely unbearable.

forgot to answer ur question about how long adjudication took... mine was 6 WEEKS!!! total nightmare. and yeah the calling thing is brutal. i literally had to set aside a whole day just for calling over and over

SIX WEEKS?? OMG I'm already at 5 weeks and going crazy. How did you manage financially during that time? I'm really hoping the expedite request through the governor's office helps speed things up because my savings are almost gone at this point.

0 coins

whatever u do DONT tell them u found another job if u haven't started yet!!! my friend did that and they immediately closed her claim even tho she didn't start for another month!

0 coins

Once again, providing incorrect information to ESD is never advisable. If you've accepted a job offer with a future start date, you should report that during your weekly claims. You remain eligible for benefits until you actually start working and earning wages. Withholding information from ESD can result in an overpayment determination and potential penalties.
