If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Bottom line: if you've worked consistently for over a year like the OP has, you almost certainly qualify. The edge cases are people who just started working or had very low wages.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! I feel much better prepared now if I do need to file a claim.

Good luck with everything! Hopefully the layoff rumors don't pan out for you.

0 coins

Just to add one final tip - if you do get laid off, file your claim the same week. Don't wait thinking you might find another job quickly. You can always stop claiming if you find work, but you can't get benefits for weeks you didn't claim.

0 coins

Good advice! I was wondering about the timing of when to file.

0 coins

Yeah it's one of those things where acting fast saves you money later. The system has a waiting week anyway so there's no downside to filing right away.

0 coins

File this week! Don't overthink it. The worst they can say is no, and then you can appeal if needed. But based on what you described, performance issues without clear misconduct usually qualify for benefits.

0 coins

You're right, I need to stop worrying and just file the claim.

0 coins

Exactly! And file your weekly claims every week even if you're in adjudication. You can't get back pay for weeks you didn't file.

Last tip - when you do your phone interview (if they schedule one), be professional and stick to the facts. Don't badmouth your employer but do explain your side clearly. The ESD adjudicator just wants to understand what really happened.

Good luck! Most people in your situation end up getting approved, so try not to stress too much about it.

The financial impact goes beyond just losing income - your credit can suffer, you might have to dip into retirement savings, the whole financial foundation gets shaky.

0 coins

This is why I really need to get my Washington ESD benefits figured out. Every week without income makes things worse.

0 coins

Seriously, if you're still having trouble reaching them, give Claimyr a try. Time is money when it comes to getting benefits resolved.

0 coins

To summarize the main negative impacts: financial stress, mental health challenges, social isolation, loss of routine and purpose, relationship strain, skills atrophy, and reduced self-confidence. The good news is most of these are temporary if you take action to address them.

0 coins

Thanks for summarizing. It helps to know I'm not the only one dealing with all of this. Time to take action on my appeal.

0 coins

That's the spirit! Focus on what you can control and take it one step at a time.

One more thing - if you're working part-time while receiving unemployment, those wages might affect your weekly benefit amount. Washington ESD has specific rules about how part-time earnings are calculated against your benefits.

0 coins

Thanks for mentioning that! I might need to take some part-time work while looking for full-time employment.

0 coins

Just make sure to report all earnings accurately on your weekly claims. It's better to report everything and let Washington ESD calculate the deductions than to risk being accused of fraud.

0 coins

The bottom line is that there's no specific length of time you have to work at one job, but you do need sufficient overall work history and wages during your base period. Most people who've worked steadily for 12-18 months will qualify, regardless of how that work was distributed among different employers.

0 coins

This has been incredibly helpful! I feel much more confident about understanding the requirements now. Thank you everyone!

Glad we could help! The system is complex but once you understand the basics it makes more sense. Good luck with your current job!

Keep checking your account regularly for updates. Sometimes the 602a status will change without them sending you a notification. Mine went from wage verification to approved over a weekend and I almost missed it.

0 coins

How often should I check? Daily?

0 coins

I checked mine every couple days. Daily might be overkill but definitely check a few times a week so you don't miss any status changes.

0 coins

For future reference, you can also check your wage and employment history in the WorkSourceWA system to see what information Washington ESD has on file for you. Sometimes discrepancies there can trigger these verification reviews.

0 coins

I didn't know you could check that in WorkSourceWA. I'll take a look and see if there are any obvious issues with my work history.
