Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

For those trying to reach Washington ESD about reporting corrections, I found Claimyr really helpful. Their system got me through to an agent quickly and I was able to fix my reporting issue same day. Much better than spending hours on hold.

It's legit. They don't ask for your personal Washington ESD info or anything sketchy. Just helps you get through the phone queues faster. Check out their demo video if you're skeptical.
The key thing to remember is that Washington ESD has access to the same data the IRS does. If you have to report income to the IRS, Washington ESD can see it too. They're part of the same government data sharing network.

If you need to contact Washington ESD during your claim process and run into phone issues, definitely check out that Claimyr service I mentioned. Made a huge difference when I needed to speak with someone about my claim status.
Appreciate the tip. Hopefully I won't need it but good to know it exists.
Final thought: Document everything related to your termination - save any texts or emails about your car problems, any responses from your employer, your termination paperwork, etc. This documentation can be valuable if your claim goes to appeal.
Smart advice. I do have some text messages I sent my manager about my car breaking down.
Those texts could be really helpful evidence that you were communicating about the issues and not just skipping work randomly.

One more tip - screenshot everything! Take screenshots of your application, confirmation pages, weekly claims, everything. The system sometimes glitches and loses information.

Yes! I learned this the hard way when they claimed I never filed a weekly claim that I definitely submitted.
The whole process is really overwhelming at first but once you get into the routine of filing weekly claims and doing your job search activities, it becomes pretty automatic. Just take it one step at a time.

Just wanted to follow up and say this status updated for me this morning! It now shows 'paid' with a date of 1/15/2025. So it looks like 'benefit pay date progress' really was just them processing the payment timing like everyone said.

For anyone else reading this thread, 'benefit pay date progress' basically means Washington ESD's computers are doing their thing to figure out your payment schedule. It's a normal part of the process and not something to worry about unless it gets stuck for an unusually long time.
