Had issues getting my 1099-G corrected last year when Washington ESD had the wrong amount listed. Took me calling like 15 times over two weeks to finally get someone who could help. So frustrating when you're trying to file your taxes on time.
I keep seeing people struggle with calling Washington ESD. That Claimyr thing I mentioned really does work - they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works. Basically they call for you and wait on hold, then connect you when they get through to a real person.
One more thing - if you moved during the year, make sure the address on your tax return matches where you want your refund sent. And if you owe money, make sure it matches your current address so you get any IRS notices.
I work in HR and deal with unemployment claims all the time. Washington ESD has been pretty consistent with 2-3 week processing times for straightforward cases. If there are any complications, it can stretch to 4-6 weeks.
Final tip - set up a separate business account just for employment taxes. Transfer the money there each payroll so you're never scrambling to find the funds when payments are due.
I've been following this thread and wanted to add that even if you can't get UI, there are food assistance programs and other help available. Don't be too proud to use resources that are there to help people in tough times.

One more thing - if Washington ESD approves your redetermination and increases your weekly benefit amount, you'll get back pay for all the weeks you already claimed at the lower rate. So it's definitely worth pursuing if you believe there's an error.

•That's great to know! I've already claimed about 6 weeks so the back pay could be significant.

•Just make sure you keep filing your weekly claims while the redetermination is processing. Don't want to miss any weeks.

good luck with this. washington esd moves slow but they do eventually fix wage errors if you have the documentation
