Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Just wanted to add - if you run into issues getting through to Washington ESD by phone, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but it saved me hours of frustration when I needed to resolve an issue with my claim.
I might have to try that. I've been trying to call about my adjudication for days with no luck.
Definitely worth it when you actually need to talk to someone. The regular phone system is just overwhelmed most of the time.
The most important thing is to file as soon as you're unemployed, even if you're not sure about all the details. You can always ask questions later but you can't backdate your claim very far if you wait too long to file.

One more tip - take screenshots of everything when you file online. Save your confirmation numbers, print out pages, etc. I've heard of people having issues where the system said they never filed even though they did.

Yes! And save any emails they send you. I had to prove my filing date once and the email confirmation was what saved me.

Totally agree! Glad this discussion helped clarify things for both of us.
One more thing to keep in mind - if you do exhaust your regular benefits, make sure to keep filing your weekly claims if extended benefits become available. You have to stay in the system to be eligible.
Good point. Extended benefits aren't automatic - you have to maintain your claim status and continue meeting all requirements.

Once you do get your claim filed, make sure to file your weekly claims every week even if it's still pending. Missing weekly claims can mess up your benefits later.

Yeah, the weekly claims keep your claim active. Even if you're in adjudication, keep filing them.

Just remember to keep filing your weekly claims even if your payment is delayed. Missing a week can cause all sorts of problems with your claim.

If you're really worried about timing, you can usually see the payment status change in your Washington ESD account before the money actually hits your bank. Look for it to change from 'pending' to 'paid'.
