One more resource - if you can't get through to Washington ESD directly, try using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. I used them last month for a different issue and they got me connected to an agent within a few hours instead of days of trying to call myself.
Just want to add that the 8 months of work you mentioned should definitely qualify you. I've seen people qualify with much less work history. The Washington ESD system is actually pretty reasonable once you understand how it works.
Good luck with your application! The process seems overwhelming at first but most people get through it fine. Just take it step by step.
One thing that helped me was creating a detailed timeline of my employment and keeping all my pay stubs organized. When Washington ESD requested wage information, I was able to provide everything immediately instead of scrambling to find documents. Being prepared definitely sped up my approval process.
For anyone still waiting - I know it's frustrating but try to be patient. Washington ESD is processing thousands of claims and they do get to everyone eventually. In the meantime, make sure you're meeting the job search requirements and keeping good records. The backpay once you're approved will cover the waiting period.

One thing to watch for - if they need any additional info from you, they'll send a separate letter asking for it. Don't ignore those or your claim could get denied for non-response.

•Good point! I'll make sure to check my mail carefully for anything from ESD.

•Yeah and respond quickly if they do ask for something. They usually give you like 10 days to respond.

Overall Washington ESD is pretty good about approving legitimate claims. The wait is frustrating but they do process most applications eventually. Just keep filing your weekly claims and be patient!
