Try to stay positive while you wait. I know it's easier said than done when you're worried about bills, but the system does work eventually.
Last thing - if you get any correspondence from Washington ESD, read it carefully and respond by any deadlines. Missing deadlines can really mess up your claim.
And if you do get something confusing in the mail, that's another good reason to use something like Claimyr to talk to an agent who can explain what you need to do.
This thread convinced me to finally apply for benefits. I've been putting it off because I wasn't sure about my severance situation, but sounds like I should at least try.
Just want to add that I used Claimyr recently for a different issue and it was super helpful. The wait time to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD can be brutal otherwise.
This thread has been really helpful! I didn't even know partial unemployment was an option. Definitely going to look into filing a claim since my hours got cut.
One more tip - keep detailed records of all your earnings and hours worked. Makes filing your weekly claims much easier and helps if there are ever any questions about your eligibility.

Don't give up on the job search! I know it's discouraging but something will come through. Maybe consider expanding your search to related fields or different geographical areas if possible.

You're right. I've been pretty narrow in my search so far. Time to cast a wider net.
