Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Don't overthink it too much. I was terminated for 'poor fit' with the team and got approved for benefits no problem. Washington ESD sees these cases all the time and they know the difference between actual misconduct and just not working out at a job.

My benefit amount was way lower than I expected because I had some part-time work mixed in with my full-time job. The calculation gets complicated when you have multiple employers.
I have a side gig too, should I be worried about this affecting my benefits?
It depends on how much you made from each job. Washington ESD counts all wages in your base period, but the calculation can get tricky.
Pro tip: if you're having trouble reaching Washington ESD about your benefit calculation or any other issues, I found that calling right when they open at 8am gives you the best chance of getting through. Still took me 15 tries but eventually worked.
I tried that strategy for weeks and never got through. That's when I decided to try Claimyr and actually got connected to someone who could help.

Has anyone mentioned checking if Boeing offers any bridge programs or COBRA extensions that might be better than trying to get UI? Sometimes employer benefits are more reliable.

Quick question - if I file for unemployment but then find a job before the claim is processed, do I need to cancel the claim or just stop filing weekly claims?
You should report the job when you file your next weekly claim. The system will automatically stop your benefits once you report full-time employment.

Bottom line - file your claim. Don't try to second-guess whether you'll be approved or not. Let Washington ESD make that determination. You've paid into the system and you deserve to have your case heard fairly.
