If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - if you're ever unsure about your filing or have questions, that Claimyr service can help you get connected to Washington ESD directly. I used it when I had issues with my claim timing and it was super helpful.

I might need to try that. I've been trying to call Washington ESD for weeks about some questions.

0 coins

Yeah the regular phone lines are brutal. This made it much easier to actually talk to someone.

0 coins

Perfect timing on this question! I was wondering the same thing. Sounds like Sunday morning filing is the way to go.

Same here! This thread answered exactly what I needed to know.

Glad I asked! Everyone here was super helpful.

if you run into any technical issues with the website or your account gets locked definitely try that claimyr thing people mentioned. i spent days trying to reset my password and couldn't get through to tech support

Good to know there are backup options if the normal channels don't work.

0 coins

Exactly - having alternatives when the regular system fails you is crucial. The last thing you want is to miss filing your weekly claim because of technical problems.

0 coins

Final reminder - file your claim THIS WEEK if possible. Every week you delay is a week of potential benefits you're giving up. The sooner you start the process, the sooner you'll start receiving help.

Good luck with your claim! Feel free to come back and ask questions if you run into any issues during the process.

You've got this! The unemployment system exists to help people in exactly your situation.

I'm curious about the timeline here. How quickly do you have to respond to a job offer? I got one on Friday afternoon and they want an answer by Monday morning.

0 coins

That's a pretty tight timeline. You should be able to ask for a few days to consider, especially if you need time to evaluate whether it meets Washington ESD's suitability criteria.

0 coins

I asked for until Wednesday and they agreed. Gives me time to think it through properly.

Final thought - whatever you decide, stick with it and be prepared to explain your reasoning. Washington ESD reviews these cases pretty thoroughly so having a clear, documented rationale is important.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I feel much more informed about my options now.

Good luck with whatever you decide! The unemployment system is stressful enough without having to worry about every decision.

The benefit year ending date is also important for tax purposes. Make sure you keep track of which payments came from which benefit year for your tax forms.

0 coins

Oh great, another complication I hadn't thought about. Do they send separate 1099s for each benefit year?

0 coins

I think it depends on when the payments were actually made, not which benefit year they came from. But definitely something to pay attention to.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the info. I feel much more prepared to deal with my benefit year renewal now. This stuff is way more complicated than it should be.

0 coins

Right? You'd think they'd make it easier to understand since it affects so many people.

0 coins

At least forums like this help people figure it out. Better than trying to decode the official Washington ESD explanations.

If you need to reach Washington ESD about your claim status, seriously consider that Claimyr service others mentioned. I wasted weeks trying to get through on my own before finally using it. Would have saved me a lot of stress if I'd known about it earlier.

0 coins

I'm hoping I won't need to contact them but good to know that option exists if my claim gets stuck.

0 coins

Yeah, it's like insurance - you hope you don't need it but you're glad it's there if you do.

0 coins

Bottom line: plan for 4 weeks to be safe, hope for 3 weeks, and don't panic if it takes longer. The money will come eventually as long as you keep filing your weekly claims and your claim is legitimate.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. Feeling much more prepared for what to expect now.

Good luck with your claim! This community is pretty helpful if you run into any issues.
