If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - if you've been receiving any other benefits like food stamps or housing assistance, bring documentation for those too. Sometimes there are interactions between different benefit programs that they need to know about.

I'm not receiving other benefits but good to know in case my situation changes.

The most important thing is to be honest and thorough. If you're missing something, explain why. The Washington ESD staff are usually pretty understanding if you're upfront about your situation.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I feel much more prepared now. Hopefully this appointment will finally get my claim moving.

0 coins

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. Fingers crossed they approve your claim quickly after the appointment.

Remember to file your weekly claims even if your initial claim is still processing! You have to maintain your claim to get benefits later.

0 coins

When do I start filing weekly claims? Right after I submit my initial application?

0 coins

You'll get instructions after your initial claim is processed. Usually you can start filing weekly claims within a few days of applying.

0 coins

One more tip - take screenshots of everything during your application process. If something goes wrong later, you'll have proof of what you submitted and when.

0 coins

Great advice, I'll definitely do that. Thanks everyone for all the help!

Good luck with your claim! The first time filing can be nerve-wracking but once you get through the initial process it gets easier.

This happened to my cousin last year. Turned out Washington ESD flagged her account for some random review and froze payments without telling her. She only found out when she finally got through to someone on the phone.

0 coins

Oh great, that's exactly what I'm worried about. How long did it take to resolve?

0 coins

Once she got through to someone it was fixed within a few days. The hard part was actually reaching a person.

Payment timing is usually consistent but when there are issues you really need to talk to someone at Washington ESD to get answers. The online system doesn't always show what's really going on.

0 coins

Yeah I'm realizing I probably should have called sooner instead of just waiting and hoping.

0 coins

Don't beat yourself up about it. The calling system is so bad that most people avoid it until they absolutely have to.

One more thing about benefit calculations - if your wages were really low in your base period, you might not qualify for unemployment at all. There are minimum earning requirements that vary by state. Washington ESD will tell you during the application process if you don't meet the requirements.

0 coins

I think I should be okay since I worked pretty consistently, but that's definitely something to keep in mind.

0 coins

Yeah, as long as you worked regularly for over a year you should be fine. The requirements aren't super high but they do exist.

0 coins

Just wanted to add that if you're confused about any of this stuff, the WorkSource offices around the state can help you understand the process. They have people who can walk you through filing your claim and explain how the benefit calculations work.

0 coins

That's really helpful! I might stop by one of those offices before I file just to make sure I understand everything correctly.

0 coins

Definitely worth it, especially if this is your first time filing for unemployment. They can answer questions that might not be clear from the website.

0 coins

Also don't forget that unemployment benefits are taxable income. You can have taxes taken out automatically or pay them later, but just be aware of that.

0 coins

Oh I didn't know that. I'll make sure to set that up when I file.

0 coins

Yeah it's an option during the application process. Saves you from having to pay a big tax bill later.

0 coins

Good luck with everything! The unemployment system isn't perfect but it's there to help you get back on your feet. Just follow the rules and you should be fine.

Thanks so much everyone. Really appreciate all the advice and support!
