Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. One more tip - if you worked in multiple states recently, you might need to file in a different state depending on where you earned the most wages. Washington ESD can help you figure out which state you should file in, but it's worth checking before you start the application.

The whole process took me about 30 minutes to complete the initial application online. Just make sure you have all your employment info ready beforehand so you don't have to stop and look things up. The system times out if you take too long on one page.

Quick question - does overtime pay count toward the benefit calculation? I had a lot of OT in my highest quarter.
Yes, overtime counts. It's all part of your gross wages for that quarter. So if you had a high-OT quarter, that would actually help your benefit calculation.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! Sounds like I should expect somewhere in the $600-700 range per week based on my salary. I'll file this week and see what happens. Fingers crossed I don't need to call Washington ESD for anything, but good to know about that Claimyr service if I do.

The Washington ESD website has a benefits calculator where you can estimate how much you'll get per week and for how many weeks. It's not 100% accurate but gives you a ballpark idea of what to expect.

The calculator is pretty close to accurate in my experience. Just remember the weekly amount is before taxes if you choose to have them withheld.
Keep in mind that if you exhaust your regular UI benefits and still can't find work, there might be other training programs or assistance available through WorkSource. It's worth looking into before your benefits run out.

Many of the WorkSource programs are free or low-cost, especially if they're funded by federal workforce development grants. Worth checking out their website or visiting a local office.

just a heads up - when your claim does get approved, the back payments usually come through pretty quickly. so hang in there, once the dam breaks you'll get all the money you're owed

One more thing to try - if you have a local WorkSource office, you can sometimes get help there. They can't process your claim but they might be able to help you figure out what's causing the delay or help you get through to Washington ESD by phone.
