If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Thank you! I'm going to file first thing tomorrow morning.

Just wanted to echo what others said about filing quickly. Don't wait thinking about whether your employer will be upset about 'paying' for it - that's not how it works and you're entitled to benefits if you qualify.

0 coins

You're absolutely right. I was letting my anxiety get the better of me. Time to file that claim!

One more resource - if you need help with your job search, WorkSourceWA has free services like resume help and interview prep. Might be worth checking out while you're on unemployment.

I'll look into that too. Every bit of help with the job search is appreciated.

WorkSource helped me land my current job. Their career counselors are really good.

Good luck with everything! Remember that filing for unemployment isn't something to be embarrassed about - you paid into the system and deserve the benefits when you need them.

Thanks for that reminder. I needed to hear that.

Been collecting the maximum for about 8 weeks now. The key is making sure your weekly claims are filed correctly and on time. Miss a week and it becomes a huge hassle to fix.

0 coins

You can file late but it triggers additional verification steps and delays your payment. Best to just file every Sunday like clockwork.

And if you do have issues with late filing, that's another situation where services like Claimyr can help you get through to someone at Washington ESD to sort it out quickly.

One thing to watch out for - if you have any previous overpayments or disqualifications on your account, they can offset your current benefits even if you qualify for the maximum amount.

0 coins

Yeah this happened to my coworker. He was supposed to get $800/week but they were deducting $200 for an old overpayment.

0 coins

Yep, they'll take up to 25% of your weekly benefit to recover past overpayments. Important to know about before you budget based on the full amount.

Don't stress too much about it. The system is designed to help people who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. Sounds like that's exactly your situation.

Thanks everyone for all the advice and encouragement. I feel much more confident about applying now.

You've got this! Remember that worst case scenario you get denied and appeal, but sounds like you have a good chance of approval.

Last thought - if you need help with the Claimyr thing to reach ESD agents, their website is pretty straightforward but the video demo really helps explain how it works. Worth checking out if you run into phone issues.

Bookmarked it just in case. Hopefully I won't need it but good to have options.

Smart move. Better to have it and not need it than the other way around when dealing with government phone systems.

I'm going to call Washington ESD first thing tomorrow morning. If that doesn't work out, I'll look into that Claimyr service people have mentioned. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Update: I'm going to try calling Washington ESD this week to get definitive answers about contractor programs. If I can't get through, I'll try the Claimyr service that was mentioned. Thanks everyone for the helpful discussion - it's given me a lot more hope than I had when I started this thread!
