If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Quick addition - some credit card companies will let you skip payments entirely for a few months during unemployment hardship. It's not ideal because interest still accrues, but it can buy you breathing room while you figure things out.

That could be really helpful short-term. I'll ask about that option when I call.

0 coins

Just make sure you understand the terms completely. Some companies are more generous than others with their hardship programs.

Actually got another update from my Washington ESD call - the agent mentioned that if your benefits get extended or if you qualify for additional programs, it can help with creditor negotiations too. Having a longer timeline of expected income helps when asking for extended hardship terms. Really glad I used Claimyr to get that information instead of guessing about my benefit status.

That makes total sense. The more information you have about your situation, the better you can plan. I'm definitely going to look into getting through to Washington ESD properly.

This is exactly why I tell people to stay on top of their unemployment claim status. The more you know, the better decisions you can make about everything else.

The timing really matters here. If your permit expires while you're receiving benefits, you'll need to report that change immediately. Washington ESD requires you to report any changes that affect your eligibility.

0 coins

Good point. I'll make sure to report any status changes right away if I do end up filing for benefits.

Just want to echo what others have said about calling Washington ESD directly. Every situation is different and you need official guidance, not just forum advice. The Claimyr service that was mentioned earlier could really help you get through.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I'm going to try Claimyr to reach Washington ESD and also look into talking to an immigration attorney. At least now I have a better understanding of what I'm dealing with.

Good luck! Hope you get through to someone at Washington ESD soon and get some clarity on your situation.

Don't stress too much about the requirements - if you've been working steadily for 2 years you almost certainly qualify. The worst they can do is say no, and then you can appeal if needed.

0 coins

True, I guess I'm overthinking it. Thanks for the encouragement!

Last thing - when you file make sure you have your Social Security card and ID ready. The online system will ask for that info and if there are any discrepancies it can delay your claim.

0 coins

Got it, I'll make sure I have all my documents ready. This thread has been amazing, thank you all!

For anyone still confused about benefit amounts, Washington ESD has a benefit calculator on their website. It's not perfect but gives you a rough idea of what to expect.

0 coins

I tried that calculator but couldn't figure out how to use it properly. The interface is confusing.

0 coins

That's another reason why talking to an actual agent can be helpful. They can walk you through the calculation step by step. Claimyr helped me get through to someone who explained everything clearly.

Bottom line - if you made good money, you'll probably get a decent unemployment check. If you were making minimum wage, it's not going to be much. The system isn't perfect but it's something.

0 coins

True, but even minimum wage workers can sometimes qualify for additional benefits like food stamps to help make ends meet.

0 coins

Yeah, unemployment alone isn't meant to replace your full salary. It's just supposed to be a safety net while you look for new work.

Just wanted to follow up on the Claimyr suggestion from earlier. If you do need to speak with Washington ESD about this protest situation, that service really does work well for getting through their phone system. Much better than the frustration of trying to call during business hours and never getting through.

0 coins

I think I'm going to try it. This uncertainty about the protest is driving me crazy and I need to know what's actually happening with my claim.

0 coins

same here, been trying to call for weeks about my own issue. might as well try something that actually works

0 coins

Update: Thanks everyone for all the information and advice. I'm going to continue filing my weekly claims like suggested and gather up any documentation I have about my layoff. Hopefully this protest doesn't go anywhere but at least now I know what to expect in the process. This forum has been incredibly helpful!
