For what it's worth, I think 2-3 weeks is pretty typical right now. Washington ESD seems to be processing claims at a reasonable pace compared to a couple years ago when everything was backed up.
Hope you hear back soon! The waiting is definitely the hardest part, but once you get approved it's such a relief. Just keep filing those weekly claims and stay on top of your job search requirements.
One more thing - if you're denied, don't give up. The appeals process exists for a reason and sometimes the initial determination is wrong.
Just wanted to follow up on the Claimyr thing - they also helped me understand exactly what my base period was and which quarters counted. Made the whole process way less stressful.
This whole thread was super helpful. I had no idea about the UCFE program until I needed it. Government employment has so many rules!
wish i had found this thread before spending 3 hours on hold with washington esd trying to get answers about my federal job claim
That's exactly why I mentioned claimyr earlier - nobody should have to waste hours on hold for basic information.

Don't forget to check if your employer is fighting your claim. Sometimes they'll dispute it to avoid having their unemployment insurance rates go up. If that happens, you'll need to participate in a hearing.

•How would I know if they're fighting it? And what kind of hearing?

•Washington ESD will send you a notice if there's a dispute. It's usually a phone hearing where you explain your side of the story. Just be honest about what happened.

Bottom line - file as soon as possible, be honest about everything, keep good records of your job search, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck. The system can be confusing but most people do get their benefits eventually.
