Quick question - does anyone know if the maximum benefit amount changed this year? I thought I read something about it but can't find the info.
If you run into any issues or have questions about your specific situation, definitely don't hesitate to get help. Whether that's through Claimyr or finding another way to reach Washington ESD, it's better to get clarification than to guess and potentially mess up your claim. The whole process can be confusing even for people who've done it before.
The system is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. File your weekly claims on Sunday nights after midnight, keep your job search log updated, and respond quickly to any requests from Washington ESD. 26 weeks should give you enough time if you're actively looking.
Just want to add that if you have any issues with your claim or need to speak to someone at Washington ESD, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but it saved me hours of waiting on hold when I had an adjudication issue.
Seems like a few people have had good experiences with that. I'll keep it in mind if I run into any problems.
Same here - used Claimyr when I had an overpayment notice I needed to discuss. Much better than the regular phone system.
Just want to mention again that if you get stuck during the application process, Claimyr really helped me get through to someone who could answer my specific questions. The website can be confusing and it's worth getting help rather than guessing on important sections.
Good luck with your application! The process is intimidating at first but once you get through it and understand how everything works, the weekly claims are much easier. Just take it step by step and don't rush.
I bookmarked this thread for future reference. The Washington ESD system problems seem to be ongoing so these tips will probably be useful again.

The calculation seems correct based on what you've described. Focus on filing your weekly claims correctly and doing your job search activities. Those are more important than understanding every detail of the benefit calculation.

•Thanks, you're probably right. I should focus on finding work instead of obsessing over the math.

•Definitely keep looking for work, but it's still good to understand your benefits in case any issues come up with your claim.

One last thing to check - make sure your monetary determination included wages from both of your part-time jobs. Sometimes if employers don't report correctly, one of your jobs might be missing from the calculation.

•I can see both employers listed in my wage history, so I think they're both included. Thanks for all the help everyone!

•You're welcome! Feel free to ask if you run into any other issues with your unemployment claim.
