Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Great to hear it worked out! For anyone else reading this thread, the Tuesday filing to Thursday payment timeline is pretty typical for Washington ESD when there are no complications with your claim.

I was in retail too and qualified no problem. Made about $15k the year before I got laid off from part-time work. The key is consistent employment, doesn't matter if it was part-time. Your situation sounds very similar to mine.

Yeah you should be fine. Just make sure to file your weekly claims on time once you get approved.
If you're still worried about eligibility, you could try calling Washington ESD directly, but good luck getting through. I tried for days and finally gave up. Used Claimyr to get connected and the agent confirmed my eligibility in about 10 minutes. Sometimes it's worth paying for convenience when you're already stressed about losing your job.

One last tip - if your benefit amount seems wrong when you get your determination letter, you can appeal it. Sometimes they miscalculate wages or use the wrong base period. You have 30 days to appeal if you think there's an error.

Appeals are actually pretty common and often successful when there are genuine errors. Don't be afraid to challenge it if something looks wrong.

One more tip - when you do apply, be completely honest about why you left your job. Trying to make it sound better than it was can backfire if they investigate and find inconsistencies. Better to let them make the determination based on the real facts.
