Just want to mention again that claimyr.com was super helpful for getting specific answers about partial benefits. The agent explained exactly how my earnings would affect my weekly benefit amount and answered all my questions. Way better than trying to figure it out from the website alone.
The most important thing is that you keep filing those weekly claims! Even if some weeks you don't get any money because you earned too much, you need to maintain your claim. Missing weeks can really mess things up if your hours get cut later.
Just be patient everyone. I know it sucks but the system is overwhelmed and they're processing claims as fast as they can. Most people do get approved eventually if they qualify.
Update for everyone still waiting - my claim finally got approved today after 18 days! No explanation for the delay, it just showed up as approved this morning. Keep checking your account daily and don't give up hope.
One last tip - screenshot everything when you file online. The Washington ESD website can be glitchy and you want proof of what you submitted and when. Also helps if you need to reference your application later.
Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses! I feel much more confident about filing now. Going to submit my application this week and include all the severance details upfront. Really appreciate this community!
Just remember that unemployment benefits are meant to be temporary income replacement while you search for new work. The max benefit of $999 per week is substantial but it's not meant to be permanent.

One thing that helped me was setting up notifications on my Washington ESD account so I'd know immediately if there were any updates or if they needed additional information from me.

•How do you set that up? I want to make sure I don't miss anything important.

•Log into your account and go to the notification preferences. You can get emails or texts when there are updates.

Bottom line - if everything goes smoothly, expect your first payment 3 weeks after filing. If there are complications, could be 6+ weeks. Keep filing weekly, keep job searching, and be patient. The system is slow but it usually works eventually.

•Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. Sounds like 3-4 weeks is realistic if there are no issues.

•Good luck! The waiting is the hardest part but hang in there.
