If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just to follow up on the Claimyr thing - I ended up using them again last week when I had questions about my job search requirements. Really helpful for getting through to Washington ESD when you actually need to talk to someone. Worth keeping in mind if you run into issues.

Good to know it works for different types of questions. I'll definitely bookmark that for future reference.

This thread has been really helpful! I had the same question but didn't want to ask. Now I know to expect my payment Wednesday if I file on time Sunday.

Glad it helped! That was exactly what I needed to know too.

One more thing - if you get a job offer while you're collecting unemployment, you're supposed to stop filing claims starting the week you begin work. Don't try to double dip or you could get in trouble for overpayment.

Yes, but you have to report all earnings on your weekly claim and they'll adjust your benefit amount accordingly.

That's good to know in case I can only find part-time work initially.

Glad this thread exists! I was wondering the same thing. Sounds like the answer is file ASAP and don't wait around hoping for the best.

Exactly what I learned. Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice!

Good luck with your claim! Hope it goes smoothly for you.

One last tip - make sure you're logging into the right Washington ESD website. There are some fake sites out there that look similar but aren't the official one.

The official site is esd.wa.gov - make sure you see the .gov at the end.

Yes, and always double-check the URL before entering any personal information.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses! I feel like I understand the weekly claim filing process much better now. Really appreciate this community.

No problem! We've all been there trying to figure out the Washington ESD system.

Good luck with your claims! Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

One thing people don't realize is that your benefit amount stays the same for your entire benefit year, even if you get a part-time job. You just report the earnings and they reduce your weekly payment accordingly.

0 coins

That's good to know. I was worried that taking a part-time job would mess up my benefit calculation completely.

Has anyone had success getting their benefit amount increased if Washington ESD made a mistake in the calculation? I think they used the wrong wages for my claim.

0 coins

Yes, you can request a redetermination if you think there's an error. You'll need documentation of your wages to prove the mistake. This is another situation where being able to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD is crucial.

I might need to try that Claimyr service then. I've had no luck getting through on my own.

thanks everyone for all the help. i feel way less confused about this now. time to bite the bullet and actually do my taxes lol

Final update: I used TurboTax and it walked me through everything perfectly. The unemployment income went exactly where everyone said it would. Thanks for all the help!

Glad it worked out! Tax software has really improved over the years.

Good to hear. Maybe I won't need to pay someone after all.
