If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: I tried using Chrome instead of Firefox like someone suggested and I was able to get in! Something must have been wrong with my browser cookies or something. I filed my weekly claim successfully. Thanks everyone for all your help!

Great news! Glad that worked for you. The PA UC system seems to work best with Chrome for some reason. Might be worth keeping in mind for future reference.

awesome!! yea firefox always gives me problems with government websites for some reason

So glad you got it sorted out! I've been following this thread because I've had similar browser issues with PA's system. It's crazy how these government websites seem to have such specific browser requirements. For anyone else reading this in the future - it's worth trying different browsers first before spending hours on hold. Chrome and Edge seem to work best with most state unemployment systems from what I've experienced.

This is such a helpful point! I wish government websites would just post a list of compatible browsers somewhere obvious. It would save so many people from going through this frustration. I've noticed the same thing with other state websites too - they seem to be optimized for specific browsers but never tell you which ones work best.

FINAL UPDATE: My claim was approved! Took 12 days total and I already got my first payment via direct deposit. For anyone in the same situation, here's what worked for me: 1. I uploaded the text from my boss about the closure right away 2. I took photos of the closed restaurant with the sign in the window 3. I called using that Claimyr service someone mentioned above when I saw an "employer contact" issue 4. The agent was able to verify everything and push my claim through They did count most of my tips in the calculation (the ones reported on tax returns), and my weekly benefit amount is actually pretty decent. Now I just need to keep up with the weekly claims and job search requirements while I find a new bartending job. Thanks again to everyone who helped!

Great news! I'm so glad it worked out for you. This is a perfect example of how being proactive with documentation can speed things up. Good luck with your job search!

Congrats on getting it sorted out! Your experience is super helpful for others going through the same thing. Quick question - when you called using Claimyr, about how long did it take them to get you connected to an actual UC agent? I'm dealing with a similar employer contact issue and have been trying to get through for days with no luck.

@Freya Larsen Just wanted to mention that Claimyr worked for me too when I had issues with my restaurant closure claim. It was around 20 minutes to get connected, and the UC agent was able to clear up my employer verification problem on the spot. Definitely beats sitting on hold for hours! Make sure you have your claim number, SSN, and any documents ready when you call through them.

Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really encouraging to hear it worked for you. I've been calling the regular UC line for 3 days straight with nothing but busy signals, so 25-30 minutes sounds amazing compared to that. I'll definitely give Claimyr a try - I have all my documents scanned and ready to go. Did they ask for anything specific when you got connected to the agent about the employer contact issue?

FINAL UPDATE: Money hit my card today! Total of 5 business days after winning the appeal. All the backpay came at once. Such a relief after weeks of stress. Thanks everyone for your help!

Fantastic! That's actually pretty quick by PA UC standards. Glad it worked out for you. Make sure to keep up with your weekly work search activities and filing even though you got paid, as any gaps could cause problems with future payments.

Congrats on getting your money! That's awesome that it only took 5 days - gives me hope for my own appeal that I'm waiting on. Quick question for everyone: does the backpay show up as one lump sum on the Money Network card, or do they break it down by week? I'm trying to figure out how to budget once mine (hopefully) comes through. Also, did anyone have issues with the Money Network card having daily withdrawal limits when you got a big backpay deposit?

0 coins

Great questions! In my experience, the backpay shows up as one lump sum deposit on your Money Network card, not broken down by individual weeks. As for withdrawal limits, yes - the Money Network card has a $1000 daily ATM withdrawal limit and a $5000 daily spending limit. If you get a large backpay like $4000+, you'll need to plan accordingly. You can transfer money to your bank account through the Money Network website to avoid the daily limits, though there might be transfer fees. Good luck with your appeal!

I'm in a similar boat - just got approved for PA UC last week and still learning the ropes! From what I've been reading in this thread and other forums, it sounds like Monday is your safest bet for planning purposes. I've been setting up a little emergency fund for these weekend gaps since the timing can be unpredictable when you're first starting out. Also, if you haven't already, definitely download the Money Network app - it sends push notifications when deposits hit which is way faster than logging into the website to check. Hope it comes through for you before your bills are due!

Thanks for the tip about the Money Network app! Just downloaded it and set up notifications. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here - makes this whole process way less stressful when you're new to it. I'm definitely going to start building up that emergency fund too once I get a few payments under my belt. The weekend gaps are no joke when you're already tight on money!

I've been on PA UC for about a year now and can share some insight on the timing. Thursday releases typically hit Money Network cards on Monday morning, but I've noticed it can vary slightly depending on holidays and when exactly during Thursday the payment was processed. One thing that helped me a lot was setting up text alerts through the Money Network website - you get notified the moment the deposit posts, usually around 6-7am on the day it hits. Also, if you're really in a bind for the weekend, some grocery stores and gas stations will let you get cash back on small purchases even if the full amount isn't available yet, though this doesn't always work. The timing does get more predictable once you've been in the system for a few months. Hang in there!

Thank you so much for all the detailed info! This is exactly what I needed to hear from someone who's been through this for a while. I'm definitely setting up those text alerts right now - getting notified at 6-7am sounds perfect. The cash back tip is really smart too, I hadn't thought of that as a backup option. It's reassuring to know the timing gets more predictable with experience. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all these helpful tips!

I'm dealing with something similar right now - been pending for 3 weeks because my former employer isn't responding to UC's calls either. It's so stressful when you're counting on that money to pay bills! From what I've read in this thread, it sounds like most people eventually get approved when the employer doesn't respond, but the waiting is brutal. I'm going to try some of the suggestions here like calling early morning and asking for a status escalation. Hang in there - sounds like you're doing everything right by filing weekly and staying on top of it!

@NebulaNinja I'm so glad I'm not the only one going through this right now! It really is brutal waiting when bills are piling up. The early morning calling tip seems to be mentioned by several people here, so I'm definitely going to try that tomorrow. Have you tried keeping a log of your calls like Connor suggested? I'm thinking that might help show a pattern of trying to resolve this when we do get through to someone. Good luck with your claim - hopefully we both get some good news soon!

I'm in almost the exact same boat - my claim has been pending for 3 weeks now and my former employer isn't returning any calls from UC either. Reading through all these responses gives me some hope that it will eventually get resolved! I'm definitely going to try calling at 7:55am tomorrow morning and ask specifically for a "status escalation due to non-responsive employer" like some people mentioned. It's so frustrating that we have to stress about paying rent while waiting for employers who won't even pick up the phone. At least it sounds like most people do get approved eventually when the employer doesn't respond - just wish it didn't take so long! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences, it really helps to know we're not alone in this.
