If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm also facing this exact situation! I have a family wedding coming up in a few months that will take me out of state for about a week. Reading through all these experiences has been incredibly helpful and reassuring. It's clear that the consensus is to be honest about your availability - answer 'no' to able/available during travel weeks, but definitely keep filing those biweekly claims to maintain your active status. What really stands out to me from everyone's stories is how smoothly the process works when you just follow the straightforward approach. I was initially worried about creating complications, but seeing so many positive outcomes when people simply tell the truth about their temporary unavailability gives me a lot of confidence. The practical tips shared here - like documenting your travel, having work search activities ready for your return, and being mindful of which days fall into which filing period - are really valuable. Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their real experiences. It's made what seemed like a potentially complicated situation much clearer and less stressful!

I'm so glad this thread is helping you too! It's really amazing how much clarity comes from hearing actual experiences rather than just reading the official rules and wondering "what if." What I've found most reassuring is seeing how many people have had smooth transitions back to receiving benefits after their travel - it really shows that PA UC does handle these legitimate family situations appropriately when you're upfront about everything. The documentation tips are especially smart - I'm definitely going to keep screenshots of my filings and maybe even note my exact travel dates somewhere safe. It's such a relief to know we can attend these important family events without jeopardizing our benefits, as long as we handle things honestly and keep up with the required filings. Thanks for adding your voice to this helpful discussion!

I've been through this exact situation twice now - once for my sister's wedding and once for a family reunion - and both times went smoothly when I followed the advice everyone's giving here. The key really is just being straightforward: answer 'no' to able/available for the weeks you're traveling, but absolutely keep filing those biweekly claims to maintain your active status. When I returned from both trips and started answering 'yes' again, my benefits resumed immediately with zero complications. One thing I learned that might help: I kept a simple note in my phone with my exact travel dates, just in case anyone ever asked for clarification later (though they never did). PA UC really does seem to expect these kinds of temporary family situations and handles them well when you're honest about your availability. Don't let the stress of managing this overshadow what should be a wonderful celebration - just follow the proper steps and you'll be fine!

I just went through this same situation last month! One thing that really helped me was setting up a simple spreadsheet to track everything - weekly claim filing dates, work search activities, and any correspondence from UC. During those zero-benefit months, it becomes even more important to stay organized because you're doing all the work without seeing any money. Also, consider looking into local food banks or assistance programs during that gap period - many don't require you to be receiving benefits, just proof that you're unemployed. The stress is real but you'll get through it!

0 coins

That's such a smart idea about the spreadsheet! I'm definitely going to set that up - it'll help me stay on top of everything during those confusing months. And thanks for mentioning the food banks, I hadn't thought about looking into local assistance programs. It's reassuring to hear from someone who just went through this exact situation. Did you end up finding work before your benefit year ended or did you have to file a new claim?

Just want to add - make sure you understand the work search requirements during the zero-benefit period too. In PA, you still need to complete 3 work search activities per week even when you're not getting paid. I learned this the hard way when I got audited during my exhaustion period. Keep detailed records of every application, interview, and job fair you attend. Also, if you do any gig work or temporary employment during those months, report it on your weekly claims even though you're getting $0 - this actually helps establish the work history you'll need for your new benefit year in June. The whole system is frustrating but staying compliant is crucial for when you refile.

This is incredibly helpful information! I had no idea about the work search requirements continuing during the zero-benefit months or that reporting any gig work could actually help with qualifying for a new benefit year. That audit situation sounds scary - I definitely want to avoid that. Do you happen to know if there's a specific format PA wants for documenting the work search activities, or is it just keeping your own records? I'm going to start being extra detailed about everything from now on.

UPDATE: I tried the Claimyr service that someone recommended here and actually got through to a rep this morning! They said since I have documentation proving my new job starts on Monday, they can remove the RESEA hold. The payments should process within 2-3 business days. Such a relief! Thanks everyone for your help.

0 coins

Congrats on getting it resolved! That's awesome that it worked out before your Monday start date. I'm dealing with a similar RESEA issue right now - did the rep mention anything about how long these holds typically take to clear once they remove them? My situation is pretty much identical to yours.

0 coins

@Shelby Bauman The rep told me that once they manually remove the RESEA hold, payments usually process within 2-3 business days. In my case, she said it might be even faster since I had all the job documentation already uploaded. She also mentioned that having a definitive start date like (Monday helps) them prioritize these cases. Hope that helps with your situation!

This is exactly why I hate dealing with PA UC! The RESEA system is such a mess and creates so many unnecessary headaches when people are already stressed about finding work. I went through something similar earlier this year where I had a job lined up but the RESEA requirement kicked in at the worst possible time. The key is definitely getting through to an actual person on the phone - the automated system and online uploads rarely resolve these issues on their own. Once you talk to a rep and explain you have a confirmed start date, they can usually clear it pretty quickly. The hardest part is just getting through to someone! Glad to see you got it sorted out with Claimyr. It's ridiculous that we have to use third-party services to access our own unemployment benefits, but if it works, it works. Good luck with the new job starting Monday!

Totally agree! The whole system seems designed to make things as difficult as possible when people are already dealing with job transitions. I'm new to PA unemployment and honestly had no idea what RESEA even was until I got the notice. It's crazy that missing one appointment can hold up your entire claim, especially when you're literally about to start working. Thanks for sharing your experience - it makes me feel less alone in dealing with this bureaucratic nightmare!

@Emma Taylor Exactly! The RESEA system feels like it was designed by people who never actually had to use unemployment benefits themselves. I m'actually going through something similar right now - got selected for RESEA right when I m'in final interviews for a position. It s'like the system has the worst possible timing. Has anyone figured out if there s'a way to get an exemption from RESEA if you can prove you re'actively in the hiring process with a company? I have email chains showing I m'expecting an offer next week, but I m'worried I ll'get hit with the same hold issue if I miss the appointment window.

Glad you got it sorted out! It's so frustrating when these technical issues happen right when you need to check your balance. I've been using the phone number method for years now - it's actually faster than logging into the website even when it's working properly. Just a heads up, you can also ask them to set up balance alerts via text when you call, so you'll automatically get notified whenever your UC deposit hits your card. Really saves the stress of wondering if your benefits came through!

0 coins

That's such a great tip about the balance alerts! I definitely want to set those up - it would save so much anxiety about whether my payment went through. I'm also thinking about switching to direct deposit like Carmen suggested earlier, since these website issues seem to be a recurring problem. Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone!

I've been dealing with Money Network issues for months now and honestly it's so reassuring to see I'm not the only one! The website crashes constantly and the app is even worse. What really helped me was downloading a different browser (I switched from Chrome to Firefox) and that seemed to work better with their system. Also, if you're comfortable with it, you can enable automatic text notifications for every transaction - that way you always know your balance without having to log in. Just call that customer service number and ask them to set it up. It's been a lifesaver for me since I can't rely on their website at all anymore.

0 coins

Thanks for sharing your experience! I never thought about trying a different browser - that's actually really smart. I've been stuck using Chrome this whole time. I'm definitely going to call and set up those automatic text notifications too. It sounds like that's the most reliable way to stay on top of your balance without having to deal with their broken website. Really appreciate everyone sharing their workarounds - makes me feel less alone dealing with this mess!

awesome! glad it worked out for u!

Great to see this worked out! This is actually a really helpful thread for others who might face the same situation. For future reference, Miguel, when you have partial work weeks like this, you can expect these temporary delays in payment processing - it's just the system doing its due diligence. The key is to always report accurately (which you did perfectly) and then be patient with the review process. Thanks for updating us with the resolution!

This thread is exactly what I needed to see! I'm in a similar boat - just started collecting UC in February and picked up a one-day gig last week that put me over my benefit amount. Filed my claim yesterday for this week (where I didn't work) and was getting worried when no payment date appeared. Reading through everyone's experiences here makes me feel so much better about just waiting it out. Really appreciate how helpful this community is - especially Miguel for sharing his whole experience and everyone else for the detailed explanations about the system delays!
