If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm going through this exact same situation right now and this thread has been such a huge help! I missed my RESEA scheduling deadline by 5 days last week and have been absolutely panicking about it. Reading everyone's experiences here is giving me so much hope - it sounds like they really are understanding about genuine mistakes and the payment holds are temporary. I managed to get my makeup meeting scheduled for next Tuesday and I'm spending this weekend organizing all my job search documentation into a proper folder like everyone suggested. It's so frustrating that the system doesn't send better reminder notifications, especially when we're already stressed about being unemployed. But hearing that most people got their payments restored within 1-2 weeks after the meeting makes this feel manageable. Thanks to everyone who shared their stories - this community support means everything when you're dealing with something this stressful!

@Yuki Kobayashi You re'absolutely right about the reminder system being terrible! I just went through this same exact situation two weeks ago and was convinced my world was ending. But honestly, everyone here is giving you the real deal - the counselors really do understand that people make genuine mistakes, especially when you re'already dealing with unemployment stress. Your Tuesday meeting will go great if you come prepared with that organized folder. I brought mine in a three-ring binder sorted by date and the counselor was actually impressed with how thorough I was. My payments resumed exactly 8 days after the meeting, so you should be back on track soon! The waiting is definitely the hardest part but just keep filing those weekly claims and stay positive. This community has been such a lifesaver for moral support!

I'm in the EXACT same boat right now! Just missed my RESEA scheduling deadline by 4 days and my payments got put on hold yesterday. I've been absolutely spiraling about it until I found this thread - everyone's experiences are making me feel so much better about the situation. It's crazy how something that feels like such a disaster at first is actually pretty common and manageable. I got my makeup meeting scheduled for next Thursday and I'm already starting to put together an organized folder with all my job search stuff. The hardest part is definitely the waiting and not knowing exactly when things will get back to normal, but seeing that most people here got their payments back within 8-12 days after their meeting gives me hope. Thanks to everyone who shared their stories - it really helps to know we're not alone in making these kinds of mistakes when we're already stressed about being unemployed!

School lunch monitor here! My claim has been stuck under review for 2.5 weeks now and I was getting really worried until I found this thread. It's such a relief to know that 4-6 weeks is apparently the new normal for school employees this year due to the enhanced verification process. I've been doing all my weekly certifications and work searches, but I think I might have answered the availability question wrong - I said I wasn't available year-round since I go back to my school job in fall. Based on what GalaxyGlider said, sounds like I should have said I'm available for full-time work during the summer break period. Going to call our HR department tomorrow to check if they've received any verification requests and ask them to prioritize responding. This thread has been incredibly helpful - thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and timelines!

Hey Zara! I'm also a school employee (different role) but going through the exact same thing - 3+ weeks under review and getting anxious about it. You're definitely not alone! Based on everything I've read in this thread, it sounds like the availability question might be tricky for school workers. I think the key is saying you're available for full-time work DURING the summer break period, even though you'll return to your school position in fall. The HR contact idea seems really smart too - several people here have had success speeding things up that way. Fingers crossed we both get approved soon with full backpay!

School playground supervisor here and I'm in the exact same situation! My claim has been under review for 3 weeks and 4 days now. This thread has been such a lifesaver - I was starting to panic thinking I had messed up my application somehow. Based on everyone's experiences, it really does seem like 4-6 weeks is just the new reality for school employees in 2025. I'm definitely going to follow the advice here: upload my contract showing I'm only paid for 9 months, call my district's HR department to check on verification requests, and make sure I'm answering the availability questions correctly (saying I'm available for full-time work during summer even though I return to school in fall). It's so frustrating having to wait this long when bills don't stop coming, but hearing that most people are eventually getting approved with full backpay gives me hope. Thanks everyone for sharing your timelines and strategies!

I'm also a school employee (cafeteria worker) and my claim has been under review for almost 3 weeks now too! Reading everyone's experiences here has been such a huge relief - I was really starting to worry that I had done something wrong with my application. It's crazy that we all have to wait 4-6 weeks now just to get our summer benefits, but at least we know it's not just us. I'm definitely going to call my district's HR department tomorrow to see if they've gotten any verification requests - that seems to be the missing piece for a lot of people. Also going to double-check that I answered the availability questions right. Thanks for sharing your timeline and for all the practical advice everyone has given here. Hopefully we'll all be getting our approvals soon with full backpay!

This thread has been incredibly helpful! I'm in week 4 of "assigned to examiner" status myself and was starting to panic. Just wanted to add a couple things that worked for me: **Try calling on Fridays around 3-4 PM** - I know it sounds counterintuitive but I actually got through twice on Friday afternoons when I think a lot of people have given up for the week. The reps seemed less rushed too. **Screenshot your "Claim Summary" page daily** - I noticed mine had a tiny status change buried in the details section that I almost missed. It went from "pending employer response" to just "under review" but I only caught it because I was taking daily screenshots. **Check the PA CareerLink website** - They have a "UC Support" section with some helpful FAQs and contact info I hadn't seen before. Not sure if it'll speed things up but at least gives you more avenues to try. The financial stress is absolutely crushing and it's infuriating that we have to jump through all these hoops just to access benefits we've paid into. But seeing everyone's success stories here (even after weeks of waiting) is keeping me hopeful. We'll get through this! Thanks to everyone sharing their experiences and tips - this community support means everything when the official system leaves us in the dark.

@Alice Pierce Thank you for these additional tips! The Friday afternoon calling strategy is really interesting - that actually makes total sense that call volume might drop when people give up for the weekend. I m'definitely going to try that this week. I love the idea about screenshotting the Claim Summary page daily too. I ve'been taking screenshots of the main status but you re'right that there might be subtle changes in the details that are easy to miss. I ll'start doing that systematically. I hadn t'checked the PA CareerLink site yet so I ll'definitely look into their UC Support section. At this point I m'willing to try every possible avenue! It really is so frustrating that we have to become detective-level experts just to navigate a system that should be straightforward. But I m'so grateful for everyone sharing their strategies here - it makes such a difference to know we re'not alone in this mess and that people are actually getting approved eventually. The solidarity in this thread is honestly keeping me sane right now. Here s'hoping all of us stuck in examiner limbo get some good news soon! 🤞

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this stress - the whole PA UC system is absolutely broken right now! I've been following this thread closely because I'm in a similar boat (week 3 of "assigned to examiner" myself) and everyone's advice has been incredibly helpful. Just wanted to add one more tip that worked for my cousin last month: **Try using the online chat feature on the PA UC website during off-peak hours** (like 6-7 AM or 9-10 PM). I know most people don't even realize there's a chat option, but she managed to get connected to someone who could at least confirm her claim was moving through the queue. It's not always staffed but worth checking! Also, if you have any friends or family who work in government, HR, or social services, don't be shy about asking them for advice. My aunt works for the county and she gave me some insider tips about specific language to use when contacting offices that gets faster responses. The financial stress is absolutely brutal and it's infuriating that we have to become experts in navigating bureaucracy just to get benefits we've already paid into. But seeing everyone's stories here shows that persistence really does pay off eventually. Keep doing everything you're already doing - you're on the right track! Sending good vibes that your claim gets approved soon with all that sweet backpay! 🙏

This is such an eye-opening thread! I'm currently in week 4 of waiting for my benefits because my former employer (a small manufacturing company) hasn't responded to their questionnaire either. I had absolutely no idea about the 30-day rule until reading through all these responses. It's honestly shocking that PA UC doesn't inform claimants about this option upfront - how many people are just sitting there waiting indefinitely when they could be pushing for action? I'm definitely going to call tomorrow and use the specific language everyone mentioned here about "proceeding with determination based on claimant information only." Thank you Ella for sharing your experience and congrats on getting your claim escalated! This community is invaluable for helping each other navigate this broken system.

Sean, I'm so glad this thread is helping people! It's really frustrating that we have to learn about these rules from each other instead of being told upfront by UC. I just went through this exact situation and the 30-day rule was a game changer. When you call tomorrow, definitely be persistent if the first rep doesn't seem to know what you're talking about - not all of them are familiar with this process. Ask to speak with someone who handles employer non-response cases specifically. Also, make sure you mention that it's been 4 weeks since your employer received the questionnaire, so you're well within your rights to request they move forward. Small manufacturing companies often ignore these because they don't want their UC rates to go up, but that's not your problem! Document everything and don't let them brush you off. You've got this!

This thread has been incredibly helpful! I'm dealing with a similar situation - filed my claim 5 weeks ago and my former employer (a local auto shop) hasn't responded to their questionnaire. I've been calling UC almost daily but could never get through, and when I finally did last week, they just told me to "keep waiting." I had no clue about the 30-day rule until reading everyone's responses here. It's honestly infuriating that they don't tell claimants about this option - how many people are suffering financially just waiting around when they could be advocating for themselves? I'm calling first thing tomorrow and specifically asking them to proceed with determination based on my information only, since it's been well over 30 days. Thank you Ella for sharing your experience and everyone else for the detailed advice. This community is a lifesaver when the actual system fails us!

Ingrid, I'm so sorry you're going through this too! The auto shop situation sounds exactly like what happened to me - they probably just threw the questionnaire in a pile and forgot about it. When you call tomorrow, definitely use the exact phrase "proceed with determination based on claimant information only" and mention it's been over 30 days. If they give you any pushback, ask to speak with a supervisor immediately. I learned from this thread that you have to be very specific and persistent - they won't offer this option, you have to demand it. Also, make sure you're still filing your weekly claims even though nothing's being paid yet. The system is absolutely broken and it's ridiculous that we have to fight this hard for our own benefits, but at least we can help each other figure out how to navigate it. Good luck tomorrow - you've got this!

This thread has been absolutely incredible to read through! I'm currently in week 2 of waiting for my PA UC appeal decision and was honestly losing sleep over what all these different outcomes might mean. Harper, your experience going from total confusion to understanding that "affirm and modified" actually meant good news (confirmed benefits with a small weekly adjustment) is exactly what I needed to hear. And Eduardo's story where the modification resulted in HIGHER benefits because they found forgotten wages - that's amazing! What really hits home for me is how we're all dealing with the same frustration about these incomprehensible legal documents. It's honestly shameful that PA UC writes these decisions in such confusing language that people already stressed about money have to crowdsource translations just to understand their own benefits status. But I'm so grateful this community exists to help each other navigate this broken system. The advice everyone keeps giving about focusing on the "Findings of Fact" and "Conclusions" sections instead of getting overwhelmed by scary terminology is gold. I'm definitely bookmarking this whole discussion for when my decision letter arrives. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences - knowing that "affirm and modified" can actually mean positive outcomes makes the waiting so much more bearable!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I just got my PA UC appeal decision yesterday and it also says "affirm and modified" - I was completely panicking until I read through everyone's experiences here. Harper, your situation sounds almost identical to mine - my employer claimed I quit but I was actually laid off due to company downsizing. Reading how yours turned out with confirmed eligibility but a slightly adjusted weekly amount gives me hope that mine might be similar. The advice about focusing on the "Findings of Fact" and "Conclusions" sections is spot on. I was getting so overwhelmed by all the legal language at the beginning of the letter that I almost gave up trying to understand it. But after reading Eduardo's story about how "modified" actually meant MORE money for him, I'm motivated to dig deeper into my own decision. It's honestly ridiculous that we need threads like this to translate what should be straightforward government communications, especially when people are already dealing with financial stress. But I'm so grateful this community exists! The PA UC system really needs to do better at writing these decisions in plain English instead of making us all become amateur legal interpreters. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - it makes this confusing process so much more manageable!
