Pro tip: Check if your state has a taxpayer advocate office. They can sometimes help with federal tax issues too, and it's usually free!
This is gold! šÆ I had no idea this was a thing. Gonna look into it asap.
Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to be as frustrating as possible? It's like they want us to give up on getting our refunds. š¤
Preach! š I swear they make it complicated on purpose.
ur location doesnt matter its all processed at the same federal locations. I'm in texas and my friend in new york gets updates same time as me
Pro tip: call your local taxpayer advocate. They can sometimes push things through faster than the regular IRS phone line
idk who needs to hear this but STOP COUNTING ON REFUNDS TO PAY BILLS! The IRS is not your bank!

Just a heads up, the IRS recently announced they're still working through a backlog of 2022 returns. They said to expect delays, especially for paper returns. Might be worth checking if your return falls into any of the categories they mentioned as likely to be delayed.
