If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I went through this exact same verification process last year. Called multiple times, no letter ever came, finally got someone who scheduled an appointment. My refund showed up exactly 12 days after verification. The frustrating part is that I was counting on that money for some car repairs and the delay put me in a tough spot financially. I wish the IRS would at least be consistent about whether appointments can be scheduled without the letter - would save everyone a lot of time and stress!

Back in 2022, I had a similar verification issue. I tracked my transcript daily after verification and noticed a pattern: TC 971 (notice issued) appeared first, followed by TC 570 (refund hold) being released about 7-10 days after verification. Then a TC 846 (refund issued) showed up 3-4 days later. If you have access to your transcript, watching for these codes can give you a more accurate timeline than what the Where's My Refund tool shows. In my experience, the deposit arrived 2 days after the TC 846 date.

Have you verified the account and routing numbers on your actual tax return? I had a DDD of February 12th, 2024 and realized on February 15th that I had transposed two digits in my account number. The bank rejected the deposit on February 16th, and the IRS automatically converted it to a paper check that arrived on March 4th. You might want to prepare for a much longer wait if there was any error in your banking details.

I just went through this and got it resolved! My refund was scheduled for March 14th but didn't show up. I called my bank first to see if they were holding it - they weren't. Then I pulled my transcript again and confirmed the last 4 digits of the account matched mine. Finally called IRS on March 21st, and they found that my refund had been returned due to a name mismatch (my tax return name didn't exactly match my bank account name). They reissued it that day and I got it March 25th. Stay persistent!

I completely understand your frustration. Per Internal Revenue Manual 25.23.2, the IRS is required to verify taxpayer identity when certain risk factors are present, even if you have an IP PIN. Under the Taxpayer First Act Section 2001, they've actually increased verification requirements. As a military spouse who's gone through three PCS moves in five years, I've had to verify twice despite having an IP PIN each time. The verification is annoying but legitimate - and unfortunately common for military families due to our frequent relocations.

Happened to me last yr too. IP PIN is basically useless imho. IRS systems don't talk to each other. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. Got my fed refund then got letter saying verify identity. Makes zero sense. Called 6x, got hung up on 5x. When I finally got thru, agent said it happens all the time w/ military families who move a lot. System flags address changes as suspicious even w/ IP PIN. Totally broken system.

Here's what I recommend based on my experience: Step 1: Create an account on IRS.gov if you haven't already Step 2: Access your tax transcript (account transcript specifically) Step 3: Look for code 150 (tax return filed) Step 4: Look for code 846 (refund issued) - this is what you're waiting for Step 5: If you see codes 570/971, there might be a review happening This approach gives you much more detailed information than the basic "Where's My Refund" tool. I was frustrated with the lack of information until I learned how to read my transcript properly. The transcript updates more frequently and shows exactly what's happening with your return.

Wow, this is super helpful! It's like having a roadmap through the IRS maze. I've been budgeting down to the penny waiting for my refund and this kind of specific guidance is exactly what I needed. It's like the difference between "your package is shipping" and actually being able to track it every step of the way. Going to check my transcript right now!

Fwiw, my state (CA) and fed refunds were completely diff timelines. Got state super fast (like 8 days) but fed took forever (37 days total). The WMR tool was stuck on the first bar the whole time, but my transcript had all the deets. Had a mini heart attack when I saw code 570, but turns out it was just normal processing. Nothing to do w/ state refund timing tho - totally separate systems.

UPDATE: ID Verification Issue - System Only Asking for 2024 Info When It Needs Both Years

UPDATE: I thought I might share my somewhat unusual verification experience, in case it helps others in a similar situation. I initially filed around 1/30/24, and it was accepted approximately 2/3/24. Since then, I've had blank transcripts and my return has been seemingly stuck in the "still being processed" status. I decided to perhaps call in last Thursday to check on everything, and was informed that I needed to verify my identity and that they had sent a letter out on 3/7/24. I received my verification letter on 3/14/24 and completed the online verification that same day. I received what appeared to be a confirmation that the verification was completed successfully. To be thorough, I called this morning to confirm everything was properly processed, and interestingly, I was told that my verification didn't fully process on their end. Apparently, the system has been experiencing some technical issues and only requesting 2024 information during the online verification process, when it should actually be requesting both 2023 and 2024 information. The representative was kind enough to verify me via phone, so now I'm hopefully fully verified and my return can be processed properly. If you've recently verified online and were only asked to provide 2024 return information, it might be worth calling to make sure your verification was fully processed! The representative also mentioned that once you're verified, you probably shouldn't check WMR or anything for about 3 weeks after verification (if you haven't received your funds by then). Interestingly, she noted that many people were being flagged for verification because they were checking transcripts and similar information before their refund was processed, which apparently triggers potential fraud alerts in their system. šŸ¤” I apologize for the somewhat lengthy post, but I thought this information might be helpful to others in a similar situation.

I need to share a cautionary tale here. I verified online on February 27th (exactly 23 days ago), thought everything was fine, and waited patiently. After seeing posts like this, I called yesterday and discovered my verification had NEVER processed correctly. The agent told me that approximately 42% of online verifications since February 1st have been affected by this glitch. After verifying by phone, she told me to expect my refund within 9 business days. If I hadn't called, I might have been waiting indefinitely. The system won't notify you if your verification fails!

42% failure rate? That's a massive system problem. IRS should send notices to everyone affected.

For anyone dealing with this issue, I created a timeline based on my experience and what I've seen from others: 1. If you verified online between January 29, 2024 and March 15, 2024, and were only asked about 2024 information, your verification likely didn't complete properly 2. After calling and completing phone verification, most people are seeing transcript updates within 2-5 days 3. Refunds are typically being issued 5-9 days after successful phone verification 4. The IRS updated their system on March 16, 2024 to fix this issue for new verifications, but they're not automatically fixing previously affected accounts Hope this helps others navigate this frustrating situation!
