Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Think of your tax return like a package in the mail system. Right now, your package has been accepted at the post office (the acceptance confirmation), but it hasn't been scanned at the regional distribution center yet (transcript update). Sending a second package (paper return) won't make the first one arrive faster - it just creates confusion about which package to deliver. The transcript database and the processing system are separate, like how the USPS tracking system is separate from the actual delivery trucks. Sometimes your package is already on the truck even when the tracking hasn't updated. January filers are starting to see mass updates now as the IRS works through the backlog. The system often updates in batches, so you might go from nothing to a complete transcript overnight.

I had something similar happen last year. My return seemed to be in limbo for weeks, then suddenly everything updated at once. I was about to mail in a paper return too, but a friend who works as a tax preparer talked me out of it. So glad I waited because the paper processing times are apparently much longer.

I might be able to provide some insight based on my experience from last year. I filed on January 23rd, 2023, and had essentially the same situation - accepted but no transcript data and WMR showing only the first bar. I possibly made a mistake by sending a paper return on February 20th, thinking it would help. What actually happened was that the e-filed return processed normally on March 2nd, but then my paper return created a duplicate filing issue that took until July to resolve. The IRS had to manually review both returns, verify they were identical, and then suppress the paper return from processing. It definitely, definitely delayed my refund by several months.

Have you checked your IRS account online? WMR only shows 3 basic stages, but your online account might show more detailed information. In my case, WMR showed nothing for exactly 31 days after filing, then suddenly updated to approved with a direct deposit date. The key thing to watch for is the 21-day mark - if you're beyond 21 days from acceptance date (which would be February 27th for you), you're technically eligible to call the IRS directly about your refund status. I'm concerned that with the PATH Act verification procedures, some 1099 returns are being held for additional review without notification.

I've been tracking refund patterns this tax season, and here's what I've observed: • State refunds typically process in 7-14 days • Federal refunds with W-2 only: 14-21 days on average • Federal refunds with 1099 income: 21-35 days on average • Federal refunds with both credits and 1099 income: 30-45 days The fact that you've received your state refund is actually a good sign. It confirms your banking information is correct and that there are no major issues with your filing. The IRS is just slower, especially with 1099 income that requires additional verification steps. I'd give it another week before getting concerned.

I'm a bit cautious about these "early refund" features. It's kind of like those payday loan places that give you money a few days early but with hidden fees. Sometimes they're actually refund anticipation loans that can come with interest charges if you read the fine print. Not saying that's what happened in your case, but it's like ordering an expensive drink and not checking the price until the bill comes.

Navy Federal is great. They do this every year. It's not a loan. It's actual direct deposit. I got mine yesterday too. No fees involved. Just early access. Same thing happens with paychecks. Very reliable. Been with them for 10 years.

According to IRS Publication 1345 (Rev. 2-2023), tax preparers who offer Refund Transfer products must provide clients with a method to verify fee payment status. Liberty Tax satisfies this requirement through their MyLiberty portal under Section 7216 compliance guidelines. I successfully verified my fee payment by downloading my Liberty Tax receipt from the Documents section of MyLiberty. The document clearly showed my preparation fees ($189), filing fees ($44.95), and the date payment was processed. Their system is fully compliant with IRS requirements.

I... I'm not sure if I should be impressed or concerned that you know so much about tax preparer regulations. I've been using Liberty for three years and never knew about the Documents section. I always just assumed everything was fine if I got my refund.

For anyone dealing with this issue in the future: always keep copies of your fee agreements. Unlike H&R Block or TurboTax which have transparent fee tracking, Liberty's system is less intuitive. Their customer service improves dramatically after April 15th. If you're filing next year, consider asking about their fee tracking options before choosing them as your preparer. Most importantly, calculate your expected refund amount before fees so you can verify if the correct amount was deducted.

Ngl, didn't know TT had this option! Is it worth the $$ tho? Seems like you're paying extra just to get ur own money a few days early. Might be better to just file early and wait the normal time? Idk, maybe I'm missing smth here.

I received my advance deposit today, but I'm a bit concerned... the amount is correct, but the transaction description shows as "Tax Refund Loan" rather than "IRS Refund." Will this potentially cause issues with my bank or affect anything on my credit report? Should I contact TurboTax about this labeling?
