Congratulations on winning your appeal! That's such a huge accomplishment after 6 weeks of fighting the system. I went through a similar appeal process about 7 months ago when DEO incorrectly denied me for "insufficient work search documentation" even though I had submitted everything they requested. After receiving my favorable determination letter, it took about 8 business days for my account status to change from "Hold - Adjudication" to "Eligible," and then another 3 days for the payment to actually process and hit my bank account. My back pay was around $2,800 and came as a single deposit. You're doing everything right by continuing to claim your weekly certifications. The key thing now is just patience - check your CONNECT account once daily (not obsessively like I did!) and watch for those status changes. You don't need to submit anything else or make any calls. The system will automatically process your $4,750 once everything updates. One tip that really helped my peace of mind: take screenshots of your determination letter and any status changes you see in your account. Having that documentation saved me when I had a minor glitch later and needed to prove my case to a DEO agent. You've cleared the biggest hurdle by winning the appeal - now it's just waiting for their slow system to catch up. Hang in there, you're almost at the finish line!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Eight days for status change plus three more for payment sounds very reasonable. It's really comforting to hear from someone who dealt with the exact same "insufficient work search documentation" issue - that's exactly what happened to me! I had submitted everything they asked for but they still denied me initially. I'm definitely going to take your advice about checking just once daily instead of obsessively refreshing. I've already been driving myself crazy checking multiple times a day and it's not making anything happen faster! Taking screenshots is such good advice too - I'm going to go back and document everything right now. It's so reassuring to know that others have made it through this process successfully. Really appreciate the encouragement that I'm almost at the finish line!
Congratulations on winning your appeal! That's such a huge relief after 6 weeks of fighting DEO. I went through something very similar about 4 months ago when they wrongfully denied me for "abandoning work" even though I was actually terminated due to budget cuts. After I received my favorable determination letter, it took about 10 business days for my held weeks to change from "Hold - Adjudication" to "Eligible" status in CONNECT, and then another 5 days for the actual payment to process. My back pay was around $4,200 and came as one lump sum deposit. You're absolutely doing the right thing by continuing to claim your weekly certifications - that's crucial. The main thing now is just patience (I know, easier said than done when you need the money). Check your CONNECT account once daily to monitor status changes, but try not to obsessively refresh like I did - it just adds to the stress. Make sure to screenshot your determination letter and keep it saved somewhere safe. If there are any delays or system glitches down the road, having that proof readily available makes everything much smoother when dealing with DEO agents. Your $4,750 should process automatically once their system fully updates the reversal. No additional forms or calls needed from you. You've won the hardest battle - now it's just waiting for their slow system to catch up with the decision. Hang in there, you're so close to the finish line!
I'm so relieved to see your update that you got your payment! I just filed my first claim last week and have been absolutely panicking about the timing. Reading through all these experiences has been incredibly helpful - especially learning about the 6 AM claiming strategy and setting up those push notifications. It's amazing how much variation there seems to be in payment timing even though most people get theirs within that 2-3 business day window. I'm definitely bookmarking this thread for future reference. Thanks everyone for sharing your real experiences with DEO - it makes navigating this confusing system so much less scary when you know what to actually expect!
You're so welcome! I'm glad this thread helped ease your anxiety about the whole process. When I first posted here I was practically having a panic attack about rent money, so I totally get that stress. The community here really saved me from spiraling completely. That 6 AM claiming trick seems to be the real MVP advice from everyone's experiences. I'm definitely planning to use it going forward! Hope your first payment comes through smoothly - and don't hesitate to post if you run into any issues. We're all in this together dealing with the DEO madness!
Reading through everyone's experiences here has been so eye-opening! I'm dealing with DEO for the first time myself and had no idea about things like the 6 AM claiming window or how much your bank's processing time can affect when you actually see the money. It's crazy how the official DEO website gives you basically no useful timeline info, but this community thread has all the real details you actually need. I'm saving all these tips about text notifications, confirmation numbers, and watching for fact-finding requests. Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their experiences - it makes such a difference when you're trying to navigate this mess of a system!
I completely agree! The official DEO resources are basically useless when it comes to real-world timelines and practical advice. This thread has been like a masterclass in actually dealing with the CONNECT system. I had no idea about most of these strategies either - especially the early morning claiming and bank notification setup. It's honestly ridiculous that we have to rely on community knowledge to figure out how a government system actually works, but I'm so grateful people here take the time to share what they've learned. Definitely saving this whole conversation for reference too!
Quick update for everyone - I just got my first payment today! Took exactly 2 business days after adjudication completed for the money to hit my account. If you're stuck waiting, PLEASE try contacting your rep. I wasted so much time trying to go through DEO directly when this solved it in 48 hours.
This is incredibly helpful information! I'm currently on week 6 of adjudication with no updates despite calling daily. I had no idea contacting state representatives was even an option. For anyone else who might be hesitant to try this - I found my rep's info on the Florida House website by entering my address. Going to send that email first thing tomorrow morning. Paolo, did you mention anything specific about the timeline in your email or just focus on the hardship aspect?
I mentioned both! In my email I laid out the timeline (filed X date, stuck in adjudication for Y weeks, called Z times with no resolution) AND the hardship (facing eviction, can't afford groceries, etc.). I think the combination of showing you've tried everything AND explaining the real-world impact is what gets their attention. Also make sure to be specific about what you need - don't just say "help me" but ask them to "contact DEO on my behalf to expedite my adjudication review." Good luck!
UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at DEO! Used Claimyr this morning and was connected to an agent within 20 minutes. The agent confirmed they received my identity documents but said they were "pending review" in the verification queue. She submitted an escalation request due to the length of time and my hardship situation. She said I should see movement on my account within 3-5 business days. Will update again once I know more. Thank you all for the helpful advice!
That's fantastic news! So glad Claimyr worked for you - I've been hesitant to try it but hearing your success story gives me hope. The fact that they could actually confirm your documents were received and submit an escalation is huge progress. Fingers crossed you get your account unlocked soon! Keep us posted on how it goes over the next few days.
This is such a relief to hear! I've been dealing with a similar situation - my account has been locked for 7 weeks now and I was starting to lose hope. Seeing that Claimyr actually worked for you and that you got confirmation your documents were received is really encouraging. I'm definitely going to try it today. Did the agent give you any reference number for the escalation? I want to make sure I ask for that when I get through. Thank you for sharing this update - it gives the rest of us stuck in this nightmare some hope!

I'm going through this exact same nightmare right now! Just had to do my second ID.me verification this month and I'm so confused about whether this is normal or not. The whole system feels so unreliable - one minute everything's working fine and the next you're locked out for no apparent reason. It's especially stressful when you're already dealing with the anxiety of being unemployed and then the system makes you question if you did something wrong. Really hoping this doesn't become a regular thing every time I need to claim weeks. Has anyone found a way to prevent this from happening repeatedly?

•I totally understand that anxiety! From what I've learned reading through all these responses, it seems like using the same device consistently is key to avoiding repeated verifications. Eloise mentioned some really helpful tips earlier - like sticking to one device, not clearing browser cookies too often, and trying to log in at similar times. It's frustrating that we have to work around the system like this, but at least there are some strategies that seem to help prevent it from happening over and over again.

This exact thing just happened to me two days ago! I was so worried when I got locked out right after claiming my weeks - thought maybe I had entered something wrong or that my account got flagged. The second ID.me verification was annoying but went through smoothly. What really helped ease my mind was checking back later and seeing that my claim weeks still showed as "processed" in the system. My payment actually came through faster than I expected (2 days instead of the 3-5 they usually quote). It seems like this double verification thing is just their new security protocol, even though it's super confusing when you're new to the system. Keep checking your claim status and you should be fine!
