Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Just wanted to update everyone - I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and actually got through to EDD this morning! The representative confirmed it was just a display glitch in their system because of my address change. She fixed it right on the spot, and now all my previous weeks show the correct 'paid' status again. She also noted in my account that this was resolved so it won't affect my new claim next month. Such a relief! If anyone else is experiencing this, definitely try to speak with a rep directly rather than waiting for it to fix itself.

This is exactly what I needed to see! I'm dealing with the same issue right now - updated my address last week and suddenly all my old weeks from my previous claim are showing as disqualified. The worst part is that sinking feeling that they might demand repayment for benefits you received months ago and have already spent. Just google '[your area] state representative'. Most have contact forms on their websites. Explain your situation and they usually have staff dedicated to helping with these issues.
Hey Sean! I went through this exact same thing about 6 months ago. After I submitted my questionnaire, it took about 10 days to see the payment hit my account. The key thing is to make sure you didn't miss any follow-up notifications - sometimes they send additional questions or require document uploads that can hold things up. Also, double-check that your bank info is correct in your profile. I'd give it at least 2 weeks before panicking, but definitely keep checking your online portal daily for any updates or action items. Good luck! 🤞

I had a similar issue last month. Turned out my claim had been flagged for review for some reason. Had to wait for them to sort it out on their end. Might be worth checking if there's any messages or alerts on your account page.

I had this exact same issue a few weeks ago! Super frustrating. What worked for me was disabling my browser extensions temporarily (especially ad blockers) and making sure JavaScript was enabled. The EDD website can be really picky about browser settings. Also, if you're using Chrome, try switching to Firefox or vice versa - sometimes one browser just works better with their system. One more thing to be aware of - when your Money Network card arrives, you MUST activate it through their specific activation process (phone or website). Even if you plan to switch to direct deposit later, you should still activate the card as soon as it arrives. If the card doesn't arrive within 10-12 business days after your first payment is processed, that's when you should contact EDD to check on its status. Sometimes the cards get lost in the mail or sent to old addresses.
Thanks for the tip about activation! My address is current with EDD so hopefully it arrives at the right place. I'll give it the full 10-12 business days before panicking.
Just wanted to add that if you're really anxious about when your card will arrive, you can check your payment status on UI Online. Once it shows "Paid" (not just "Pending"), that's when the 7-10 business day countdown starts for the Money Network card to arrive in the mail. I was in the same situation last year - kept refreshing the website obsessively waiting for that first payment to process! The waiting week thing is confusing at first but totally normal. Hang in there, the card will come automatically once everything processes properly.
That's really helpful about checking for the "Paid" status! I've been checking UI Online daily but wasn't sure exactly what to look for. Right now my first week shows as the waiting period and my second week is still showing "Pending" - so I guess I just need to wait for that to change to "Paid" and then start counting the business days. Just for everyone's reference - if you need your 1099-G from previous years (not just 2024), you can get those online too. They keep them available for at least 5 years. Same location that @profile3 mentioned - at the bottom of the UI Online homepage under Tax Information. If you filed taxes without reporting unemployment in past years, you should file an amended return!

•You should definitely get that 2022 form and see if you need to amend your return. The IRS does compare EDD-reported payments with what you reported on your tax return, and they can come after you years later for underreported income plus penalties. Better to fix it proactively!

For anyone still having trouble finding their 2024 1099-G, I just want to add that if you received benefits from multiple states or had any overpayments that were later recouped, your form might look different than expected. Also, if you moved during the year and changed your address with EDD, double-check that your mailing address is current in case you need them to mail a paper copy. I learned this the hard way when mine got sent to my old apartment! The online version should still be available regardless of address changes though.

•Great point about the address changes! I actually had to deal with this last year when I moved mid-year and forgot to update my info with EDD. Took forever to get my paper form but thankfully the online version was still accessible. Also just want to mention for anyone who might be new to this - make sure you're looking at the CORRECT year on the form when you download it. I almost filed with my 2023 form by mistake because I had both years saved on my computer. Always double check that it says 2024!
