If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm dealing with this exact situation right now - missed interview on Monday and payments still pending. Reading through everyone's experiences here has been so helpful, especially knowing about the technical issues with EDD's phone system. It makes sense why so many people are having the same problem lately. @Sophia Carson your update about getting paid without the interview is exactly what I needed to hear! I'm going to follow the advice here and wait a few more days before trying to call. The stress of pending payments is real but at least now I know it's not just me. Thanks everyone for sharing - this community really helps when dealing with EDD chaos!

I'm so glad this thread is helping you too! It's amazing how much better it feels knowing you're not alone in this situation. The fact that so many people are experiencing the same missed interview issue really does point to those system problems rather than anything we did wrong. @Sophia Carson s'success story gives me hope for all of us waiting right now. I ve'been checking this thread daily for updates and it s'been such a source of comfort during this stressful time. Hopefully your payments will switch to paid status soon just like hers did! Keep us posted on how it goes.

This thread has been incredibly helpful for me too! I'm in a very similar situation - had my interview scheduled for Wednesday and never received a call. Like many others here, I've been obsessively checking my UI Online account hoping to see that status change to paid. Reading about the technical issues with EDD's phone system really puts things in perspective - it's clearly a widespread problem affecting many claimants right now. @Sophia Carson your success story gives me so much hope! It's reassuring to know that they're reviewing cases manually when the phone interviews don't happen. I'm going to follow the advice here and wait a few more days before attempting to navigate their phone system. The stress of pending payments is overwhelming, but this community makes it so much more bearable knowing we're all going through this together. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences - it really helps!

I'm so sorry you're going through this stress! The exact same thing happened to my neighbor last month - scheduled for 2-4pm and they didn't call until almost 7pm that evening. She was panicking just like you are now. The key things that helped her: 1) Keep your phone charged and with you at ALL times (even overnight if possible), 2) Make sure your voicemail has space and can accept calls from blocked/private numbers, 3) Document everything - screenshot your call attempts with timestamps. Don't give up hope yet - they're probably just running super behind schedule. The fact that so many people here have experienced the same thing tells me this is unfortunately normal for EDD right now.

Thank you for sharing your neighbor's experience - it really helps to know this is happening to so many people! I've been documenting everything like you suggested and keeping my phone charged. It's frustrating that EDD puts us through this stress when we're already dealing with unemployment. At least now I know it's not just me and there's still hope they'll call eventually. Did your neighbor mention if the actual interview went smoothly once they finally connected?

This is unfortunately super common with EDD right now - you're definitely not alone! I had the exact same thing happen to me in January. They were supposed to call between 11am-1pm and didn't call until 6:45pm that evening. I was a nervous wreck all day thinking they'd marked me as a no-show. The interviewer who finally called apologized and said they were dealing with major staffing shortages and technical issues. My advice: keep your phone on you tonight and tomorrow, make sure you can accept calls from private/blocked numbers, and try calling that direct interview number on your letter first thing tomorrow morning. Even if they don't call today, it doesn't automatically disqualify you - just document that you were available during your scheduled time. Hang in there!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It's reassuring to know that even when they call super late, the interview can still go through normally. I'm definitely keeping my phone on me and have already checked that I can receive blocked calls. The staffing shortage explanation makes total sense given everything that's been happening. I'll try that direct number tomorrow morning like you suggested. Really appreciate everyone here sharing their stories - it's making me feel way less alone in this stressful situation!

Wow, this is incredible news! I had my EDD card frozen for almost 6 weeks starting in late December 2020. I remember it was right after Christmas and I couldn't even buy groceries for my kids. Had to borrow money from family just to survive while they "investigated" my account for supposed fraud that never existed. I never heard anything about a class action lawsuit or settlement. Does anyone know if there's a way to check if you're eligible even if you didn't file a claim? I've moved since then but I'm hoping they can still find me. That freeze period was one of the most stressful times of my life - having money that was rightfully mine just completely inaccessible while bills kept piling up. Thanks for sharing this @Collins Angel - gives me hope that maybe there's some justice for what we all went through during that nightmare period!

@Natasha Petrov I m'so sorry you went through that ordeal, especially right after Christmas with kids involved - that must have been absolutely terrifying! Based on what @Adaline Wong shared earlier in this thread, if your card was frozen during the class period October 2020 (through March 2021 and you) experienced documented hardship, you should be eligible for compensation even if you didn t file'a claim. The settlement administrator is supposed to automatically identify affected individuals. Since you ve moved,'I d definitely'recommend checking the settlement website that was mentioned earlier - there should be a way to update your address or check your eligibility status. The 6 weeks you were frozen sounds like it would qualify for one of the higher compensation tiers based on duration alone. It s infuriating'that we all had to go through that with zero explanation or apology from them. At least this settlement acknowledges that what they did was wrong, even if it can t undo'all the stress and financial damage it caused.

This is such great news to hear! I had my card frozen for about 2 weeks in January 2021 and it was absolutely devastating. I was behind on rent and had to ask my landlord for an extension while EDD "verified" my identity for the third time. Never got any real explanation for why it happened. I haven't received any settlement check yet but I'm definitely going to look into this. Does anyone know if the settlement covers people whose cards were frozen multiple times during that period? Mine got locked twice - once in December 2020 for a few days, then again in January for the longer period. Really hoping this means there's finally some accountability for how badly they handled that whole situation. The stress of not knowing when or if you'd get access to your own money was unreal.

I had a similar identity verification nightmare with EDD last year! After weeks of frustration, I discovered the issue was that my middle initial was missing from one of my uploaded documents compared to what was in their system. Even though it seemed like a tiny detail, their automated verification system flagged it as a mismatch. I had to re-upload a corrected document and wait 3-5 business days for it to process. Also, make sure you're uploading documents during business hours - I noticed better success rates when I submitted stuff between 9 AM - 3 PM on weekdays. Their system seems to process things more reliably during those times. Hang in there, it's incredibly frustrating but you'll get through it! 💪

Oh my gosh, the middle initial thing is such a good point! I bet that's exactly the kind of tiny detail that could be tripping me up. I'm going to go through all my documents with a fine-tooth comb and make sure every single character matches perfectly. The timing tip is really interesting too - I've been trying at random times throughout the day, so I'll definitely focus on those business hours. Thanks for sharing your experience and for the encouragement! It's so frustrating but hearing that others made it through gives me hope 🙏

I've been through this identity verification nightmare too! One thing that helped me was making sure I was using the most recent version of my browser - apparently EDD's system doesn't play well with older browser versions. Also, if you have any security software or firewalls running, try temporarily disabling them while you attempt the verification. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but sometimes those security measures interfere with their verification process. Another weird trick that worked for a friend of mine was taking new photos of her documents with better lighting - apparently the image quality can make a big difference in their automated scanning system. The whole thing is such a pain, but don't give up! 🤞

Same situation here! Going on 5 weeks now with zero communication from EDD. I've been calling every single day at 8 AM sharp and still can't get through. It's honestly making me lose sleep at night worrying about rent. The most frustrating part is not knowing if there's an issue with my claim or if they're just backed up. Has anyone had success with the online chat feature, or is that just as useless as the phone lines?

0 coins

I'm in week 3 myself and feeling the same anxiety about rent! The online chat is unfortunately just as bad - I've tried it multiple times and either get disconnected or told to call the phone number. It's like they designed the system to make us give up. Have you tried reaching out to your state assembly member's office? I heard they sometimes have dedicated staff who can help with EDD issues.

0 coins

@Yuki Kobayashi I m'so sorry you re'going through this too! The anxiety is real - I ve'been losing sleep over bills as well. I haven t'tried the assembly member route yet, but that s'actually a really good idea. I m'going to look up my local rep today. Thanks for the suggestion! It s'somehow comforting but (also sad to) know I m'not alone in this mess. Hang in there, we ll'get through this! 💪

I'm going through the exact same thing right now - 4 weeks and counting with absolutely nothing from EDD. It's beyond frustrating, especially when bills keep coming but the payments don't. I've been checking my online account obsessively and calling every morning, but it's like shouting into the void. The worst part is not knowing if there's actually a problem with my claim or if this is just their normal (terrible) processing time. Reading through these comments though, it seems like 4-6 weeks is unfortunately pretty typical. Hang in there Santiago - you're definitely not alone in this struggle! 😔

0 coins

@Angelina Farar Thanks for sharing - it really does help to know others are going through the same thing! The shouting "into the void description" is so accurate. I ve'been doing the exact same obsessive checking of my online account multiple times a day hoping something will change. It s'crazy that 4-6 weeks seems to be normal "for" them when people are literally struggling to pay rent and buy groceries. This whole system really needs a complete overhaul. Hopefully we ll'all get some good news soon! 🤞
