If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm in the exact same situation and this thread has been a lifesaver for my anxiety! Submitted my DE 2593 on March 22nd and it's now been over 5 weeks with absolutely zero acknowledgment from EDD. My payments are still coming through normally, but the complete silence was making me think I'd somehow messed up the submission. Reading everyone's experiences here - especially the 4-6 week timeline from Ravi's stakeholder meeting info and Faith's successful resolution after 6 weeks - has given me so much peace of mind. It's clear this is a system-wide processing delay affecting everyone, not individual claim issues. I actually tried the secure message approach through UI Online that several people mentioned, and got a response within 2 days confirming they received my form and it's "pending review in the eligibility queue." No timeline given, but at least I know it didn't get lost! For anyone still waiting and getting anxious, I'd definitely recommend trying the secure message route for that peace of mind confirmation. Thanks Eduardo for starting this thread - it's been incredibly helpful to know we're all navigating this together!

That's such great news that you got confirmation through the secure messaging system! I'm at about 3 weeks waiting for my DE 2593 and was getting really anxious, but your experience gives me hope. It's so reassuring to know that even though you're at 5+ weeks, your payments are still continuing and they confirmed they have your form in their system. I think I'm going to send a secure message this week too just to get that peace of mind - waiting in complete silence is the worst part of this whole process. Thanks for sharing your update and the confirmation that the secure messaging actually works within a couple days!

I'm going through the exact same frustrating experience! Submitted my DE 2593 on April 15th and it's been about 2 weeks with complete silence from EDD. I was starting to think I did something wrong or my form got lost in their system, but reading through all these experiences has been incredibly reassuring. It's clear that the 4-6 week processing delay is hitting everyone across the board right now - definitely not just isolated cases. What really helps ease my anxiety is seeing that people's payments are continuing throughout the waiting period. Dmitry's update about getting confirmation through secure messaging within 2 days is really encouraging too! I think I'm going to try sending a secure message through UI Online this week to get that peace of mind confirmation that they actually received my form. It's so frustrating that EDD doesn't communicate these delays upfront, but I'm grateful for this community where we can all share our timelines and support each other. This thread has been a huge help for managing the stress of waiting in the dark! Will definitely update here if I hear anything back from the secure messaging system.

I'm in almost the exact same timeline as you Tyrone! Just submitted my DE 2593 on April 17th so I'm at about 2 weeks as well. This entire thread has been such a relief to find - I was convinced I had somehow screwed up my submission when I didn't get any immediate confirmation. It's actually kind of comforting to know that literally everyone is dealing with these same 4-6 week delays right now. Dmitry's success with the secure messaging giving him confirmation within 2 days is really encouraging! I think I'm going to try that approach next week too. The waiting in complete silence is definitely the worst part - at least knowing our payments should continue during processing helps with some of the anxiety. Thanks for sharing your timeline and please update us if you get any response from EDD!

I'm new to this community but wanted to reach out because your situation really hits home for me - the stress of unexpected benefit exhaustion combined with that high rent must be absolutely overwhelming. After reading through all the helpful responses here, it's clear that your benefits calculation is unfortunately correct based on your base period earnings. Like many others, I had no idea that not everyone automatically gets the full 26 weeks - EDD really should explain this more clearly upfront! Since you mentioned you're in accounting, here are a few additional suggestions that might help bridge the gap until October: 1. Consider reaching out to accounting staffing agencies like Accountemps and Robert Half - with tax season ramping up, they're often desperate for experienced professionals and may have immediate placements 2. Check with local small businesses about temporary bookkeeping help for year-end closes - many get overwhelmed this time of year and are willing to pay well for experienced help 3. Look into freelance tax preparation work - many CPAs hire contract preparers for the busy season, and your accounting background would be perfect 4. Contact your county's 211 helpline for local assistance programs specifically for professionals who've exhausted UI benefits Also, definitely have that conversation with your landlord sooner rather than later. Being proactive about potential payment challenges is usually much better received than waiting until you're behind. Your accounting skills are valuable and the timing could actually work in your favor with tax season approaching. This community seems incredibly supportive and knowledgeable - you're definitely in the right place for ongoing advice and encouragement. Hang in there!

I'm new to this community but wanted to reach out because your situation sounds incredibly stressful - that shock of seeing the "all benefits payable" message when you're expecting your benefits to continue must have been devastating, especially with such high rent to cover. After reading through all the helpful responses, it's become clear that your benefits calculation is unfortunately correct based on your base period earnings. I had no idea that the 26 weeks wasn't guaranteed for everyone until reading this thread - it really seems like EDD should explain this more transparently upfront instead of letting people assume they'll get the full duration. Since you mentioned you're in accounting, I wanted to add a few suggestions that might help during this difficult gap period: 1. Reach out to seasonal tax preparation companies like Jackson Hewitt or Liberty Tax - they're gearing up for tax season and often hire experienced professionals for temporary positions 2. Check with local credit unions about emergency hardship loans - some have specific programs for unemployed professionals that offer better terms than traditional lenders 3. Consider posting your bookkeeping services on Thumbtack or TaskRabbit - many small business owners need help with year-end financial organization and are willing to pay well for expertise 4. Look into whether your former employer has any alumni networks or referral programs that might lead to opportunities Also, I'd definitely encourage having that conversation with your landlord soon. Many property managers have seen this situation before and may be willing to work out a temporary payment plan, especially if you can demonstrate you're actively pursuing income opportunities. Your accounting background is definitely valuable, and with tax season approaching, the timing might actually work in your favor for finding temporary work. This community seems incredibly supportive - you're in good hands here for ongoing advice and encouragement!

I've been following this thread and wanted to share another strategy that worked for me after weeks of frustration. I used the EDD's "Contact EDD" online form (not the general inquiry one, but the specific form for claim issues) and marked it as "urgent - financial hardship." While it says they respond within 5-7 business days, I actually got a callback within 3 days from a tier 2 specialist. The key is being very specific about your issue and including your claim number, the exact error messages you're seeing, and dates of when you've tried to call. I also mentioned that I was facing eviction (which was true) and needed immediate assistance. Sometimes the online route can be faster than the phone marathon, especially for complex issues like ID verification that might need a specialist anyway. Worth trying if you're still stuck!

This is really smart advice! I had no idea there was a specific form for claim issues versus general inquiries. I'm bookmarking this for future reference. It's great that you mentioned the financial hardship aspect too - I think a lot of people don't realize that can help prioritize their case. Thanks for sharing this alternative approach!

I've been dealing with EDD phone hell for the past month myself, so I really feel for everyone sharing their struggles here. What finally worked for me was a combination of strategies from this thread: 1. I used the tech support number (1-855-327-7057) that @Liam mentioned - got through in about 35 minutes 2. Called on a Wednesday at 1:15pm following @Sofia's insider timing advice 3. Had all my documents ready and specifically mentioned "ID.me verification issue requiring escalation" The rep was actually really helpful and explained that there's been a huge backlog in their ID verification department due to new security measures. She was able to see that my case had been sitting in a queue for 3 weeks without anyone looking at it! For anyone still struggling - don't give up. The system is broken but there are real people trying to help once you can reach them. Also keeping a call log with times/dates helped me when I finally got through - the agent appreciated having specific details about how long I'd been trying. Sending good vibes to everyone still fighting this battle! 💪

Thank you so much for sharing this detailed breakdown! I'm new here and have been lurking while dealing with my own EDD nightmare for the past 3 weeks. Your combination approach gives me hope - I've been calling randomly without any strategy. I'm definitely going to try the tech support number on Wednesday afternoon with all my docs ready. Did the rep mention how long the ID verification backlog typically takes once they actually start reviewing it? I'm terrified mine is just sitting in that same queue you mentioned.

I'm in this exact same situation and finding this thread has been such a relief! Had my eligibility interview on April 26th and the interviewer told me everything looked "straightforward" and I'd hear back "within 10 business days." Well, it's been over 2 weeks now and my claim is still stuck in that dreaded "under review" status. I was starting to panic thinking I said something wrong during the interview or that my file got lost, but reading everyone's experiences shows this 4-6 week wait is unfortunately the new reality. It's so frustrating how they make it sound quick during the interview when we're all stuck waiting over a month! I've been certifying every two weeks like everyone suggested, and I'm definitely going to try that UI Online messaging system tomorrow morning. Also going to attempt calling right at 8am like CyberSamurai recommended. If I don't hear anything by next week, I might look into that Claimyr service too. Thanks to everyone for sharing their timelines and tips - it's keeping me sane knowing we're all in this waiting game together. The system is clearly broken but at least we have each other for support! Hang in there everyone! 🤞

I'm so glad I found this thread! Just had my eligibility interview on April 30th and was getting ready to stress myself out waiting for a quick response, but now I know to mentally prepare for the long haul. It's crazy how they make it sound like it'll be fast during the interview when clearly everyone here is waiting 4-6 weeks minimum. I'm going to start documenting everything from day one and definitely try that UI Online messaging approach once I hit the 3-week mark. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - it's such a relief to know this wait time is "normal" (even though it's totally unacceptable). We're all in this together! 💪

I'm going through the exact same thing and this thread has been such a lifesaver! Had my eligibility interview on April 29th and was told everything looked "great" and I'd hear back "soon." It's only been about 2 weeks but I was already starting to panic thinking something went wrong. Reading everyone's experiences here has been so reassuring - I had no idea that 4-6 weeks was becoming the new normal! I've been certifying every two weeks and obsessively checking my account multiple times a day, but after reading Isabella's advice I'm going to limit myself to twice daily. Definitely going to try that UI Online messaging system once I hit the 3-week mark, and if needed I'll look into Claimyr too. It's absolutely insane that they make it sound quick during the interview when we're all stuck waiting over a month, but I'm so grateful for this community. Knowing we're all in the same boat makes this so much less isolating. Thanks everyone for sharing your timelines and tips - we'll get through this together! 🙏

I'm so relieved to find this thread! Just had my eligibility interview on May 2nd and the interviewer made it sound like I'd hear back within a week or two at most. Now I know better thanks to everyone sharing their experiences here. It's honestly criminal how they get our hopes up during the interview when the reality is we're all waiting 4-6 weeks minimum. I'm going to start mentally preparing for the long haul and definitely use all the tips people have shared - the UI Online messaging, calling at 8am sharp, and keeping detailed records. Thanks to everyone for creating this supportive space where we can all commiserate about EDD's broken system together! At least now I won't drive myself crazy expecting quick results. 🤞

Another option is to check any old paperwork or mail you received from EDD when you first applied - your account number should be printed on award letters, determination notices, or other official correspondence. If you can't find any paperwork, you can also try logging into UI Online with your SSN and see if it automatically pulls up your account, or use the "Forgot Account Number" feature on the login page.

0 coins

This is really helpful advice! I completely forgot about checking old mail - I just found my account number on an old determination letter from when I first applied. For anyone else struggling, definitely dig through any EDD paperwork you might have saved. It saved me from having to wait on hold for hours!

If you're still having trouble after trying the online portal, another tip is to check if you have the EDD mobile app installed on your phone. Sometimes the app stores your account info even if you can't remember it. Also, if you've moved recently, make sure to update your address with EDD first before trying to access your account, as mismatched addresses can cause login issues. The customer service lines are usually less busy early in the morning (around 8 AM) if you need to call.

0 coins

Great tip about calling early in the morning! I've been trying to get through for days and hadn't thought about timing it right. The mobile app suggestion is smart too - I didn't even know EDD had an app. Quick question though - if I moved but haven't updated my address yet, should I do that online first or call to update it? I'm worried about creating more complications with my account access.
