SDI payments stopped - no updates for weeks. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having issues with my SDI payments. I haven't received any in a while and I'm not sure why. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to get an update on the status of my payments but it's been really frustrating. Any advice on how to get through to someone or what might be causing the delay?

I found a way to solve SDI payment delays issue, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6GtWFoWVWw

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. Have you tried checking your online account for any messages or updates? Sometimes they post important info there that they don't bother to tell you about directly.

Yeah, I've been checking my account daily but there's nothing new. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: set up email notifications for your account. That way you don't have to keep logging in to check for updates. Saved me a ton of headaches!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Was desperate after weeks of trying to get through. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do 🤷‍♀️

Here's what I've learned from my experience with SDI payment delays: 1. Check your claim status online regularly 2. Make sure all your paperwork is up to date 3. If you've returned to work, even part-time, report it immediately 4. Double-check that your doctor has submitted all necessary medical certifications 5. If you've moved, update your address ASAP If none of these apply, it might be a system glitch or backlog. Keep trying to reach them by phone, and consider contacting your local state representative for help.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely go through this checklist.

Great advice! I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. It can help if you need to escalate the issue later.

have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school but I got a response within a week after I faxed my inquiry. worth a shot!

OMG don't even get me started on SDI payments 😤 I've been waiting for MONTHS. This system is a joke. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it.

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're playing games with our lives. So frustrating.

Hey, just a thought - have you checked if your bank info is correct in the system? I had a similar issue and it turned out my account number was off by one digit. Took forever to figure out but once I corrected it, the payments started coming through.

Oh wow, I hadn't even considered that. I'll definitely double-check. Thanks for the tip!

I'm dealing with the same issue right now! My SDI payments just stopped about 3 weeks ago with no explanation. I've tried calling dozens of times but can never get through. The automated system just says my claim is "under review" but gives no timeline. It's really stressful when you're relying on these payments to cover basic expenses. I'm going to try some of the suggestions here - especially checking my bank info and looking for any messages in my online account. Hang in there, hopefully we can get this sorted out soon!

I'm so sorry you're going through this too! It's reassuring to know I'm not alone, but also frustrating that this seems to be happening to multiple people. Three weeks is way too long to be left in the dark like that. Have you tried reaching out on social media like Edward mentioned? Sometimes companies respond faster there when there's public visibility. Also, if the "under review" status is new, maybe something triggered a review - could be worth thinking about if anything changed recently (address, employment status, medical info, etc.). Keep us posted on what works for you!

This is such a common issue unfortunately! I went through the exact same thing about 6 months ago. Here's what finally worked for me: I called first thing Monday morning at exactly 8:00 AM and got through after about 45 minutes on hold. The rep told me my payments had been flagged for a routine review but no one had bothered to actually process it. She cleared it up right there and I got my back payments within a week. Also, definitely check if you have any outstanding forms to submit - sometimes they stop payments if they're waiting for updated medical documentation from your doctor. Don't give up! The system is frustrating but there are real people who can help once you get through to them.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Emma! It's really helpful to hear from someone who actually got through this. The Monday 8 AM tip is gold - I'll definitely try that. It's so ridiculous that your payments were just sitting there waiting for someone to click a button basically. Makes me wonder how many people are stuck in the same limbo. I'll also double-check with my doctor about any missing forms. Did they send you any notification about the review, or did it just happen without warning? Trying to figure out if I should expect this kind of thing in the future.

I'm going through something similar right now - my payments stopped about 2 weeks ago and I'm getting the runaround every time I try to call. Reading through everyone's experiences here is both comforting and terrifying! I'm definitely going to try Emma's Monday 8 AM strategy and double-check my bank info like Gael suggested. Has anyone had luck with the state disability insurance office's local field offices? I'm wondering if showing up in person might be more effective than the phone maze. Also, for those who got their payments restored, how long did it take for the back payments to come through once the issue was resolved? Trying to plan my budget around this mess. Thanks everyone for sharing your stories - at least we're not suffering alone!
