If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Something else I just thought of - make SURE you certify for your UI correctly for the last period. If your SDI starts mid-week, you need to report that you were unable to work for those days on your UI certification. Don't claim availability for work on days your doctor has certified you as disabled. That's considered misrepresentation and can cause big problems.

Oh wow, that's a really good point! My bedrest started on Wednesday, so I'll make sure to mark that I was unavailable starting that day when I do my final UI certification. Thank you!

Just wanted to add one more thing that might help - when you file your SDI claim online, there's a section where you can indicate that you were previously receiving other state benefits. Make sure to check that box and specify UI benefits. This creates a paper trail that shows you were transparent about the transition, which can help protect you if there are any questions later. Also, if you're planning to return to work after your pregnancy disability period ends, your UI claim should still be there waiting for you (assuming you still have benefit weeks remaining and meet eligibility requirements). You don't lose your UI claim by switching to SDI temporarily. Good luck with everything, and take care of yourself during this bedrest period! 💜

This is such helpful advice, thank you! I didn't even know there was a section to indicate previous benefits when filing for SDI. That makes me feel so much better knowing I can be transparent about the transition upfront. And it's really reassuring to know that my UI claim will still be there if I need it after my pregnancy disability ends. You all have been amazing - I was so stressed about this but now I feel like I actually know what I'm doing! 🙏

¡No te rindas!

Just joined this community after discovering it through my own EDD phone struggles! 😅 I've been trying to get through for about 3 weeks now and honestly, reading all these strategies is like finding a treasure trove of survival tactics. The comma method sounds like some kind of phone system cheat code - definitely trying that tomorrow along with the 8:02 AM timing trick. It's wild that we've basically had to turn into telecommunications hackers just to access unemployment benefits, but I'm grateful for everyone sharing their hard-won knowledge here. The fact that people are celebrating getting through after MONTHS of trying really shows how broken this system is. At least we're all supporting each other through this madness! Planning to try the rapid-fire menu navigation (1-1-2) combined with the slightly offset timing. Wish me luck! 🤞

Welcome to the community, Ethan! 🙌 You've definitely found the right support group - we're all battle-tested veterans of the EDD phone system at this point! Three weeks of trying is so frustrating, but don't lose hope. The combination of strategies you're planning sounds solid - that comma method plus the 8:02 AM timing seems to be the winning formula for several people here. It really is like we've had to become phone system hackers just to get basic help! 😂 Make sure you have all your documents ready to go when you try tomorrow. The fact that we're all celebrating small victories like "I got through!" shows how ridiculous this situation has become. Good luck with your attempt - crossing my fingers the cheat codes work for you! Keep us posted on how it goes! 🤞✨

Hey everyone! New member here - just joined after weeks of my own EDD phone battles! 📞😤 Reading through all these strategies has been incredibly helpful. I'm planning to try the 8:02 AM timing trick tomorrow along with the comma method and rapid-fire menu navigation. It's absolutely ridiculous that we need to become phone system ninjas just to get basic help, but I'm so grateful this community exists to share these survival tactics! The solidarity here is amazing - knowing we're all fighting the same broken system together makes it feel less isolating. Will definitely have all my documents ready and remember to be extra kind to whoever I eventually reach. Thanks for creating this supportive space where we can share our hard-won knowledge! 🤝💪

Welcome to the EDD survivors club, Miguel! 🎉 You've definitely found the right place - we're all in this together navigating what feels like an impossible system. The 8:02 AM strategy combined with the comma method seems to be the secret sauce that's working for people lately. It's honestly insane that we've had to crowdsource these "hacks" just to access services we're entitled to, but here we are! Make sure you practice that 1-1-2 rapid navigation beforehand so you can execute it lightning fast. Having your docs ready is clutch too - nothing worse than finally getting through only to scramble for paperwork. The kindness tip is so important - these reps deal with frustrated people all day, so a little patience goes a long way. Rooting for your success tomorrow! Keep us posted on how the mission goes! 🤞📞

As a newcomer to this community and SDI benefits, I'm amazed by how helpful this thread has been! I'm currently dealing with my first disability claim after a surgery last month, and like so many others here, I had absolutely no idea about the ongoing certification requirements. The initial paperwork process was confusing enough, but nobody mentioned that I'd need to keep submitting forms every two weeks to continue receiving payments. Reading through everyone's experiences has been such a wake-up call - it's clear that EDD's communication about these critical steps is really lacking. I'm definitely going to implement all the advice shared here: checking my SDI Online account weekly, setting up those biweekly certification reminders, and getting direct deposit set up ASAP. The fact that people are discovering these requirements through missed payments or community forums like this instead of clear communication from EDD is really troubling. Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to share their knowledge and experiences - it's going to save newcomers like me from making costly mistakes while we're already dealing with health issues and financial stress.

Welcome to the community, @Brian Downey! I'm also new here and going through my first SDI experience after a recent medical procedure. This thread has been absolutely incredible for learning about all the things EDD doesn't tell you upfront. Like you, I was completely blindsided by the biweekly certification requirements - it seems like such a crucial piece of information that should be front and center during the application process, not something we have to discover through trial and error or community forums. I'm so grateful for everyone who's shared their hard-won knowledge here. The weekly account checks and biweekly reminder system that people have mentioned sounds like it's going to be essential for staying on top of everything. It's honestly concerning how many people have missed payments simply because they weren't aware of these ongoing requirements. Wishing you a smooth recovery from your surgery and hoping your claim process goes much more smoothly now that you're armed with all this valuable information from the community!

As a newcomer to this community and the SDI system, I'm blown away by how incredibly helpful this entire thread has been! I'm currently in the early stages of my first disability claim after an unexpected medical situation, and honestly, I was feeling completely lost about how any of this works. Reading through everyone's detailed experiences and advice has been like getting a crash course in navigating EDD that I never received from the actual agency. The fact that so many people discovered critical requirements like biweekly certifications through missed payments or community forums instead of clear official communication is really eye-opening. I'm definitely implementing all the strategies mentioned here - weekly account checks, biweekly certification reminders, immediate direct deposit setup, and keeping detailed records. It's reassuring to see how supportive this community is in helping newcomers understand a system that seems deliberately confusing. Thank you to everyone who's shared their knowledge and experiences - you're literally helping people avoid financial hardship during already difficult times. @Joshua Wood, I hope your recovery has been going well and that your payment situation is all sorted out now!

Welcome to the community, @Anastasia Kozlov! I'm also completely new to both this forum and the SDI process, and like you, I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed by how complex everything seems. This thread has been such a goldmine of practical information that I never would have found anywhere else. It's honestly shocking how many critical details about the ongoing certification requirements aren't clearly explained during the initial application - it feels like EDD expects people to just figure it out as they go, which is really unfair when you're already dealing with health issues and financial stress. I'm taking detailed notes on all the advice here too, especially about those weekly online account checks and setting up biweekly reminders. The direct deposit tip seems crucial for getting payments faster. It's so reassuring to find a community where people actually take the time to help newcomers navigate this confusing system. Thanks for adding your voice to this discussion - it helps to know there are others of us learning together!

This thread is such a perfect example of why community knowledge sharing is so valuable! I'm also navigating my first SDI claim and honestly had no clue about the upload button timing issues until reading everyone's experiences here. The 24-72 hour delay explanation is mind-blowing - such a simple piece of information that EDD should absolutely mention during those phone calls but apparently doesn't! What really strikes me is how many people have gone through this exact same frustrating experience of being told they can upload documents, then spending hours searching for a button that isn't there yet. It's like there's this hidden knowledge about how the system actually works that you can only get from other people who've been through it. All the practical tips shared here - desktop vs mobile, file formats, having documents ready, understanding different document types appear at different times - are incredibly helpful. This is the kind of real-world guidance that makes all the difference when you're trying to navigate such a confusing system while already stressed about your benefits being on hold. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and solutions. As someone just starting this journey, reading through this whole discussion has made me feel so much more prepared for whatever weird quirks I might encounter with the EDD portal!

This really is such a perfect thread for showing how valuable community knowledge is! I just joined this community today after struggling with my own SDI claim confusion, and reading through everyone's real experiences here has been incredibly eye-opening. The fact that so many people have gone through this exact same "upload button mystery" really highlights how broken the communication is on EDD's side. It shouldn't take a community forum to learn that there's a 24-72 hour delay after they flag your account! I'm definitely saving this entire thread because I know I'll probably encounter more confusing quirks as my claim progresses. Thanks to @cd33dae18b61 for starting this discussion and to everyone who shared their knowledge - you've probably saved countless future claimants from hours of unnecessary frustration!

Just wanted to add my perspective as someone who's been through multiple SDI claims over the past few years. This thread is absolutely golden - I wish something like this existed when I first started navigating the EDD system! The upload button timing issue is SO real and frustrating. I've encountered it at least three times across different claims, and each time I forgot about the delay and panicked all over again. What I've learned is to screenshot or write down exactly what the rep tells you during that phone call, including the date/time, because sometimes when you call back they have no record of the previous conversation. One additional tip I'd share - if you're dealing with ongoing/chronic conditions and expect to file future claims, keep a running folder of all your medical documentation in PDF format and under their file size limits. Having everything ready to go when that upload button finally appears saves so much stress. @cd33dae18b61 so glad this worked out for you! This thread is going to help so many people avoid the same confusion. The collective knowledge in this community really is better than anything you'll get from official EDD channels.

This is such great advice about keeping a running folder of medical documents ready to go! As someone completely new to the SDI system, I never would have thought about preparing like that ahead of time. The tip about screenshotting or writing down what the rep says during phone calls is really smart too - I can see how that documentation would be super helpful if you need to call back and they have no record of the previous conversation. It's honestly a bit scary how much preparation and insider knowledge seems necessary just to navigate what should be a straightforward benefits system! But I'm so grateful to have found this thread and community early in my claim process. Reading everyone's experiences has given me such a better understanding of what to expect and how to be prepared. Thanks for adding your multi-claim perspective @833b61bcc5df - it's really valuable to hear from someone who's been through this multiple times!
