Pro tip: if you're having trouble getting your claim processed, try contacting your state assembly member or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping constituents with state agency issues. It's literally their job to help you!
Wow, I had no idea this was an option. Do you just call their office or is there a specific process?
Usually you can find a 'constituent services' form on their website. Fill that out with your issue and they should get back to you. If not, yeah, just call their office directly. Good luck!
unpopular opinion: maybe if we all stopped relying on government handouts and just worked harder, we wouldn't need SDI π€·ββοΈ
Dude, read the room. SDI is for people who CAN'T work due to disability or illness. It's not a handout, it's insurance we pay into. SMH π€¦ββοΈ

I'm curious, did you receive any kind of notice or letter from EDD about your claim status? Sometimes they send important info by mail that doesn't show up online.
Now that you mention it, I did get a letter about a month ago asking for additional identity verification. I sent that back right away, but haven't heard anything since. Could that be causing the delay?
Hey OP, sorry youre going through this. Quick question - have you made sure all your certifications are up to date? Sometimes that can cause payment delays.
Yep, I've been certifying religiously every two weeks. Still nada π
guys i think i figured it out. you gotta do the hokey pokey while chanting 'EDD please help me' three times. works like a charm 60% of the time, every time πΊπ
LOL this made me laugh way harder than it should have π€£
Desperate times call for desperate measures. BRB, gonna try this now π
have you tried turning it off and on again? π€£ jk jk... but seriously, EDD's website is about as reliable as my ex π
I'm in the same boat, OP. Extended leave, missing payment. It's like they don't want us to enjoy our time with our newborns without stressing about money. Hang in there!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I always get through within 15 minutes if I call at 8:01 AM.

β’Good luck with that. Politicians don't care about us little guys.
