The early morning call strategy is 100% the way to go - I called at exactly 8:00 AM and got through in under 10 minutes. The rep was super helpful and knew exactly what to do about the name truncation issue. She set up what she called a "name variant" in their system so both my full name and the truncated version would work for verification. The whole process took maybe 5 minutes once I got someone on the line. Definitely have your SSN and any reference numbers ready to speed things up. Don't lose hope - there's definitely a solution, you just have to get past their terrible website! 💪

I ran into this exact same E324 error last year and it drove me absolutely crazy! After trying everything mentioned here (different browsers, clearing cache, calling for hours), what finally solved it for me was logging into my EDD account and updating my security questions. Apparently if your security info is outdated or incomplete, it can trigger this error even though the system doesn't tell you that's the problem. Also, make sure your phone number on file is current - I had an old number that was causing issues. Once I updated everything in my profile settings, the E324 error disappeared and I could submit my claim normally. Worth a shot if nothing else is working!

I'm pretty sure my phone number might be outdated - I changed carriers a few months ago and got a new number but never updated it with EDD. Going to log in right now and check all my account info. I've been dealing with E324 errors on and off for months and it's been such a nightmare! One thing that helped me that I haven't seen mentioned yet is checking if you have any pending correspondence in your EDD inbox. Sometimes there's a document or form they need you to review/sign before you can submit new claims, and the E324 error is their weird way of blocking you until you handle it. Also, if you've moved recently, even if you updated your address, sometimes the system gets confused if you have mail forwarding set up with USPS. I went through something very similar! Error e324 is usually related to having multiple accounts in their system. Here's what worked for me: 1. Don't try to create any new accounts - this will make it worse 2. Call the EDD Disability Insurance line specifically (not the UI line) at 1-800-480-3287 3. Have ALL your information ready: SSN, both email addresses you might have used, any confirmation numbers from previous claims 4. Tell them you need to "consolidate duplicate accounts" and explain the disability filing deadline issue The key is being super clear that you have a legitimate disability claim but can't file due to their system error. They can extend your filing deadline if you can prove the technical issues prevented you from filing on time. I also recommend sending yourself emails documenting each attempt you make - screenshot the error, note the time/date. This creates a paper trail if you need to appeal later. Don't give up! The system is broken but there are people there who can help once you get through to the right person.

The specific disability line number is gold - I had no idea there was a separate line for DI claims. Question: when you called, did they ask you to verify identity for both accounts? I m worried'they might flag me for having duplicates in the first place. Also, has anyone had luck with the online chat support, or is phone really the only way to get this resolved?
