Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

I went through this nightmare last year! What finally worked for me was contacting ID.me support first to get them to completely delete the duplicate account (not just deactivate it), then waiting 48-72 hours before trying to register with EDD again. The key is making sure ID.me purges all traces of the duplicate from their system. Also, make sure you're using the exact same name format across all your documents - even small differences like "Michael" vs "Mike" can cause matching issues. It took about a week total, but it eventually went through!

Just wanted to follow up - were you able to get through to EDD? If you're still having trouble, definitely consider that Claimyr service I mentioned. When I finally spoke with an agent, it turned out my employer had submitted conflicting information about my last day worked, which created a flag on my claim that wasn't visible to me. The agent fixed it immediately once I explained the situation.

Apparently they needed additional verification of my identity because my current address didn't match what my employer had on file (I moved recently). This whole thread has been so helpful! I'm dealing with a similar situation right now - my claim has been pending for 4 weeks and I had no idea about these invisible flags or address mismatches. Protip: if u cant get thru, try calling the employer line and act like ur a biz owner. sometimes they can transfer u to the right dept. Shady? Maybe. But desperate times call for desperate measures 😈
