If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

so happy 4 u!! my friend had same thing happen but she waited like a month to report it n they denied her claim. its so messed up how many ppl r stealing from folks who just need food..

That's horrible! Yeah, the worker was SUPER clear that reporting within 10 days is critical. I wish they made that more obvious when you get your benefits approved. Maybe they should send text alerts or something to check your balance regularly?

Y'all be careful tho the bank tellers sometimes dont know wat theyre doing! My sister tried to do this and they made her wait 2 hours and then told her to go to a different branch and THAT one said they couldnt help either!! Some real bs

This is a good point. If a bank branch gives you trouble, ask them to call the EBT Customer Service number while you're there. The EBT representative can explain the process to the bank employee. Also, bringing the official claim approval letter helps significantly. Banks are still getting used to this process since it's relatively new.

Not sure if this helps, but I once had a similar issue and discovered that some ATMs are less crowded than others. The ones near public assistance offices tend to be packed on benefit days, while ATMs in quieter residential areas or certain credit unions might have shorter lines. Just a thought!

That's actually smart! I've been going to the one right by the welfare office because it doesn't charge fees for EBT withdrawals, but maybe the fee would be worth it to avoid the lines. I'll check out some other locations next month.

To answer your original question about the scammers - the EBT benefit theft has been a major problem statewide. That's why they implemented the new chip cards this year. If you haven't received yours yet, you should contact your county office to request one, as they provide much better protection against skimming devices that thieves use. Also, I recommend checking your balance through the official EBT app or phone line before heading to the ATM - sometimes benefits are delayed by a few hours, so calling ahead can save you a wasted trip. The deposit times are supposed to be midnight, but the system doesn't always process everything right at 12:00 AM.

I did get the chip card a few months ago, but honestly it doesn't seem to have changed much. Maybe I need to be more careful about where I use it? And good tip about checking the balance first - I hadn't thought of that!

Just be prepared for them to make you jump through a million hoops! When my card was stolen, they made me fill out forms, verify my identity AGAIN, and answer all these questions like I was trying to commit fraud or something. The whole system treats us like criminals when WE'RE the victims! Make sure you bring every possible document they might ask for.

For real!! When mine was replaced they insisted on seeing my kids' birth certificates even though I've been on CalFresh for 3 years and they already had copies. It's like they WANT to make it difficult.

Quick update on good news - I just checked and Alameda County does offer same-day emergency EBT card replacement at their main office (if you go early). Bring your photo ID and verification documents just in case. Some counties limit emergency replacements to certain hours, so if possible, arrive when they first open for the best chance of quick service.

Thank you so much! I'll be there right when they open. This community has been incredibly helpful - I was panicking before but now I have a clear plan for tomorrow.

Fresh culinary herbs (like basil, cilantro, mint, etc.) typically qualify as they're considered produce. But dried herbs, herbal teas, and medicinal herbs usually don't qualify for the matching funds. Each market might have slightly different rules though, so it's best to ask at the info booth when you get your tokens.

thx! gonna get some fresh basil then its so expensive at the store

One thing nobody mentioned - there are different restaurant OPTIONS in different counties. Like San Francisco has some higher-end places that participate compared to LA County. Each county negotiates with different restaurant chains. When I visited my sister in Santa Clara County they had a couple local burger places that accepted RMP that we don't have down here.

True! San Diego has some taco shops in the program that are amazing. Way better than the fast food options we mostly have in LA County. I wish LA would expand to more local restaurants.

As others have said, your RMP benefits will work in any participating county. However, remember that your regular CalFresh food benefits and RMP benefits are different. Regular CalFresh can be used at any grocery store statewide that accepts EBT, but RMP is only for those who qualify (seniors, disabled, homeless) and only at participating restaurants. Also, make sure your RMP eligibility is current. Sometimes it can drop off during recertification if the worker doesn't code your case correctly. You can check by calling the number on the back of your EBT card.

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I just recertified last month so I should be good, but I'll double-check before traveling. For the regular CalFresh benefits, I've used those at grocery stores in other counties without issues.
